Do we care that the St. Louis Lions PDL team wears green?

If not, then green it is, but I'm not sure Kelly green is the right shade.

Should I mock up the logo with that shade so we can all see if it looks ok?

Go for it KD - I personally like kelly green -I think forest is too dark - something in between may work.

Because you are there for them. Not to be noticed for being different, but being different by the fact that you guys bleed team colors every minute.

Think it's not going to be difficult for us if we have to change colors? :(

I don't like Kelly green....I used to, but after owning some kelly green shirts they fade too much.

Forest green is great, but what I really want is whatever shade Celtic uses(that's not kelly green is it?)

What do you think of this?

I also mocked up some t-shirt designs, they are very rough. The motto can be changed I just wanted to put something there.

    I'm all for this.

KD try 83,134,89 - that is the color taken from Celtics website.

I generally like t shirts with smaller logos on the front (similar to a jersey), but since we're trying to spread the word, i like the idea of the bigger crest on the front. anyone know anybody who could crank some of these out by the rapids reserves v. siue game?

Not enough time for cafepress. Game is Aug 12 and we still have name votes running.

    How's this?

When it prints it is a brighter green. At least on the color laser printer in my office.

Here is a link to a .pdf file of the graphic, print it out and see for yourself.

KD, can you post the pdf of the color green you used in post # 362

I like your version of the alternate logo found in this current PDF.
One change - I don't like the SC by itself.
Could you put either Gateway City S C on one line or
Gateway City Suppporters Club on two lines.

You might also try just G. C. S. C. and see how that looks

    Here's the changed logo.

    And new t-shirt mock ups.

Also, I updated the pdf of the logo above accordingly (here) and have uploaded the dark green version you requested here.

SB, I like the new shade of green better.

You'd be surprised...if you put it up Aug 3 and everyone ordered that day, you'd have them by the 8th (depending on the shipping method chosen)

I like the shirt. The color of the logo pops out just enough. I would lose the white border on the lettering on the back.

I'm not crazy about "City 'til we Die." It would be awesome if we already had a team, but not ideal for getting the word out about our Supporters Club and getting the MLS to STL. Some alternate wordings:

    "Bring Soccer Home"
    "MLS to STL"
"Bring soccer where it should be"
    other suggestions?

I think we can bring signs (and a drum) to the Rapids game and have t-shirts ready for the SLU season (or any other matches)

    Thanks.

I wasn't crazy about the "City" quote either but as I said I want to put something there. How's this?

    Here's the text.

"Hey, Garber. We're ready when you are."
-St. Louis soccer fans to MLS Commisioner

I think this is more realistic, considering we have never met each other. The SIUE game will be good for a first outing, but I don't think we need to rush to have t-shirts done by then.

I like the two lines and the new shade - Nice job KD

I like the "City 'til we Die," but I think you are correct that we need a message to the MLS until we get a team.

    Here's some more:
"Garber (or MLS), Do you here us?"
"MLS 2009" "MLS St. Louis 2009"
"MLS - The Time Is Now"
    "Eleven Years is too long"
"Soccer's Capital Needs (or Deserves) MLS"
"MLS - The Gateway Welcomes You"
"MLS - The Gateway Welcomes You - Bring Us A Team"

    or

"Sons of Who?" - just kidding Bryan ;) I had to throw that in.

While those slogans would all be great for the shirt (and Garber probably wouldn't mind being called out), it may be more advantageous for us at this stage to put KeeperDad's web address on the back in big letters. That way we can drive traffic to the site from other fans at the game (who will hopefully be on board to help out), and if, somehow, a league rep sees it, they may check it out as well.

I'm going to have a shirt. I have a buddy that owns a silk screening shop. I'm going to have him whip me up one. So look a giant wookie looking guy in one of the shirts.

I thought we would have everything hammered out by the 12th. I'll go with whatever we agree on.

That's pretty optimistic considering the number of YEARS we've been bickering on this board and hardly agreeing on anything. :D

Someone needs to step up, grab this by the short hairs, and get to work. The sooner there is a real entity, the sooner people can get emotionally invested.

(BTW, SoB hit 500 members today with 140 of them in the last 3 weeks)
