In America we have supporter groups for each team. A bunch of crazy fans that stand and sing the whole match.

I was wondering if there is anything like this in the Priemership? I have never seen anything like that on TV so I was wondering.

If so do they have names, Barnburners (Chigaco) North End ( Columbus) etc.

Ummm, well, yeah. Except it is usually a hell of a lot more people than the 80 or so we muster here. Give the MLS 100 years or so and we'll have the same fan interaction as the Brits do. ;)

Have you watched a premiership game???

    Ya tons,

I have just never seen a sign like Screaming Eagles, You always see that at DC games. And I have never seen a group of people standing and singing and pounding a drum over there.

See your a Riot Squad member, I see them and hear them at games too.

cut the kid a break, he don't know...

the english aren't real big on drums and stuff. in most other countries(especially south american) most have drums and hang alot of flags. It used to be crazy in England back in the day but because of security they can't do alot of stuff they used to be able to. Also, here in the U.S. you see banners like the screaming eagles and stuff because most U.S. soccer fans aren't accustomed to "supporters clubs". In england, anyone who sits behind the goal or in a kop is a member of the club's official supporters club. It's different everywhere is basically what I'm tryin to say./

There are certain groups at clubs, like Cardiff's soul crew or Chelsea's headhunters.

Its not wise to advertise if you are part of these groups. As you don't want the police to know who you are.

  7. Drums and flags aren't popular because they aren't really part of the English footballing tradition AND most of the time you won't get into a stadium with even a can of pop let alone a flag or drum.
Only Sheff Wed i think have an official band - because they are also the England band and the F.A give them special permission to do their stuff.
Personally, i think drums etc ruin atmospheres, theres only a few songs that can be played. They sound wank anyway. Singing is much more from the heart and passionate than some t**t banging on a drum.
Tame 1999, anyone who sits behind the goal isn't necesarrily a member of the supporters club, any Joe can sit there. I've done how many times.
