All the Madridistas must give their full attention to the team earlier this next season than in most other seasons. Real Madrid must now qualify for the Champions League, and it is not a done deal. Some big names fell in qualifying last season. Let's not be the Newcastle of next season. Failure to qualify would be catastrophic. The team has already lost money by not making it to the Champions League semi-finals, and missing out on the whole tournament would mean losing some of the galacticos. We must all be ready earlier in the summer.
¿Since when is Newcastle a big team? Madrid will be seeded with all the other (on paper) better teams, if they can't make it out of that then it would be better if some of the players leave, because they wouldn't be worth it.
We should pass or pass, it would be a total disaster for the team if we lost. The big danger of this qualifying round are the teams of east Europe that could be in their first month of competition in their respectives leagues in August. The physic diference between a team with more than a month of competition and a team in the begining of the preseason and not very "worked", could be big. For that reason, Camacho said yesterday that he want to train with the team around 20 days before the CL games, to prepare well the team. That means that some players will have a sort holidays this year. Some "Big" teams or teams of the "Big" leagues as Parma, Inter de Milan or Borussia Dortmund have lost in the CL qualifying round. The excess of confidence could be our biggest rival, for that reason we should play very concentrated, to think that we have won before start the round could bring us a lot of problems. But If we play very concentrated and working well, we shouldn't have many problems to pass the round.
hopefully the way the team finished this season that will not be a problem, especially with a coach like Camacho, I expect Real Madrid to play next year like they have a big point to prove.
I hope that the losses from this season, and the way the fans treated the players, is fresh in the teams mind when they take to the field for CL qualifiers in August. I hope they remember how awful they played, and how ashamed (I hope) they were. They cannot afford to overlook any opponent, and every game is critical. Hopefully the team will be deep enough that the player rotation can start as soon as games begin. And I know I messed up a couple times this season, and it may have cost the club: don't forget to wear lucky clothes/do superstitious rituals/etc! You never know!
