    i wonder if the quakes would want barclay back if ching isn't made available.

    i'm sure they wouldn't, but they'd probably be pretty pissed and feel pretty foolish.

    I would assume that his contract with Seattle is expired and he isn't part of the controversy. Why would he have been allowed to go with the Quakes to Spain if he were still under contract to the Sounders?

    you make a good point, but since he was mentioned in the original post, i figured he was part of the "controversy".

    maybe he's all set as far as leaving the sounders and joining the quakes.

    That's what I thought originally also, but I think Wagman just threw his name in there as one of the A-League players a MLS team requested was put in the draft and not that there is an actual problem.
