Does anyone know if the Metros picked anyone during the draft? I've read that Ching and Vallow were picked up, but I haven't seen a full list. Unless, of course, that is the list.

    Thanks....

    big up to Brooklyn
"COLUMBUS, Ohio - Columbus Crew President/General Manager Jim Smith and head coach Greg Andrulis announced today that the team has selected 21-year-old defender Ian Joy in the 2003 Supplemental draft.
The Crew had the seventh pick in the draft. The only other players selected in the supplemental draft were Brian Ching by San Jose with the first pick and Scott Vallow by Colorado with the eighth selection. Every other team passed. "

got this off The Crew's site

who was up for grabs anyway?

I'm a bit surprised that your team didn't take anyone. Even though the list was less than stellar, you're very thin at midfield at the moment. As for the list, I'd heard that there were 10 names on the it (Vallow, Joy, Ching were the obvious ones, a couple of guys who were in Chicago's camp).

I think you've answered your question, there probably weren't any quality midfielders available - even given the state of our midfield.
