There is still another half to be played and the score is still 1-0. I'd say Becks coming off and an own goal make this a historic game already.
I agree. Unless Yallop is the worlds bet motivator ever, I can't see how the Galaxy can pull this one off. I am still shocked that Pachuca isn't up 4-0 at half. Cannon is absolutely amazing... why is he not in contention for the National team job?
Adrenaline may have him walking, hopefully no MLC damage, it was a shame he made some nice crosses before going down.
Thats a Lalas thing ... remember Bob Bradley had to wear a tie and the rediculous outfits Mo would wear to fit Lalas' business casual policy?
He's strained some ligaments, I guarantee you... I did the exact same thing with the exact same placement of my leg and the opposing player's leg... And it ended my season... But -- Becks' leg seemed to give way, which makes all the difference, and hopefully will mean that he only has a light strain. Personally, what frustrates me is that Yallop should have had a long talk with David like this pre-game "David, I know you're an intense competitor, but you cannot risk going in on hard charges. It's simply not worth risking everything you're trying to do for the team. When you have a chance to challenge, use shoulder charges and make them run around you. Don't go throwing your legs into the fray, no matter what, and I mean it."
All due respect, but nobody ever invested $250 million in your ability to play over the next couple years. I don't think the Galaxy are the smartest, but they understand what $250 million means--they aren't going to risk anything when it comes to career threatening stuff like ACL injuries.
i think if becks tore his ACL, he wouldve been flopping around on the turf like a fish in a lot of pain... my ACL hurt like hell when i tore mine.. and it wasnt torn completely, but no way was i finishing the game... although i could walk off the field unassisted... that being said, i would be surprised if his ACL was injured... im betting more of a twisted knee.
I agree with a previous post..Beck's should just take the rest of the season off, or at the very least, one month's vacation...
In the end, because I think he can be inconsistent. When he is on, he is brilliant. But in terms of consistency, he is not as good as Reis, and certainly not Guzan [for examples sticking to MLS]. However, should he be in the net for the USMNT I would not consider us at a disadvantage for it!
So does Chivas play on a wider field? The old paint looked a few days old. Anyway: -If Cannon gets injured, LA will never win another game -Stadium looks good for 12,500 -Cameras show more LA fans but audio hints at a Pachuca majority -Anyone wanting to see a US team doing well can turn to ESPN2 to watch the basketball game against Uruguay.
What did Armas tear -- you remember the game where he kept playing for 20 minutes or whatever it was? Wasn't that an ACL? Maybe my memory is really bad but I thought it was.
Hey I know the outlook of the game doesn't look so good for the second half BUT can we ALL try to have some faith that they can WIN? Who KNEW the Red Sox were going to win the World Series? Who KNEW that Rudy would ever dress up for Notre Dame? You get what I'm saying? Gotta have faith. Believe
It was. How he survived for that many minutes is beyond me. I once played for 20 minutes to close out a game with a strained ligament, and all I did was make it worse, and it hurt like hell. I am relieved that he had the sense to come out immediately. Whatever happened, that will keep it from being that much worse.
Well, it is hard to argue with that. After all, they were but a Ngwenya bumble on a PK away from being here instead of Pachuca. And that was a match they played over 100 minutes with just 10 men.
