Anybody else watch this on Sunday?

Ted Nugent, Sebastian Bach (Skid Row), Scott Ian (Anthrax), Evan Seinfeld (Biohazard) and Jason Bonham (John Bonham's son) get thrown into a house for 12 days and are expected to come up with original material to play a show with at the end of the time span.

It's been a beautiful trainwreck so far. I think Scott Ian and Jason Bonham are the only sane ones of the bunch.

Best line of the show was, of course, delivered by the Nuge:

"This house is decadent enough for a French whore."

Eventhough I really like some of the bands involved, I can't imagine this won't be a steaming pile of crap at the end.

Good combo, Ted is a great guitar player and Bach has one of the best voices for hard rock/metal.

Sounds very interesting, Ian is a pretty cool guy from what I know, very composed and intelligent. I say they cover Nuge classics.

I think Jason's father is turning in his grave right now.

Bonham definately appears to be the odd man out. I can't imagine that they couldn't find a "name" drummer instead of him. He's there because of who his dad is not because he's been in a popular band.

I saw an ad for this on TV and had two immediate thoughts:

    1) I want to watch that train wreck
    2) The thread on BigSoccer about this show will be pretty entertaining too.

    When is it on?

I totally forgot that this was on. Are they re-running episodes?

Yeah, why didn't they just throw Tommy Lee in on this one? My guess is his price is too high, but they could've found a better name drummer than Bonham's son.

Still, this one's getting the DVR treatment. I'll be watching, hoping for a train wreck.

Isn't he already doing a show like this? I want to say it's with Jason Newsted.

Bach's non-supergroup band was just selected by Axl to open all of GnR's European dates.

That band's guitarist is Metal Mike, the guy responsible for the MetroStars' metal "MPF" anthem.

I love most VH1 reality shows, but this one seems to have the least interesting "story" of all of them. Everytime I finish an episode, I feel like I watched 30 minutes of nothing...yet I keep watching hoping something fun happens.

The only reason I watch is out of the expected schadenfreude payoff from how awful the music will be. And the only thing that could top that for me is if an upcoming episode involves Nugent going on a hunting trip with Cheney and getting Whittington'd.

Hopefully Nugent will put a slug right through Bach's chest and not a single person will ever have to hear that loser utter another sound again

I couldn't spend five minutes in a room with that guy without slitting my wrists.

Scott Ian is the only guy of the bunch that seems normal and cool and normal makes for boring TV.

Bach makes for frustrating TV becacause I all I want to do is sit him down and tell him (no matter how many records that he was involved with have been sold) just how much of a cheeseball he is.

The problem with the show is that Bach is the only one that really makes it hum. Scott Ian is cool, but he's almost too normal. Nugent never seems to be on the show except for when the band is playing, he must be spending all his free time down at the casinos or something. Jason Bonham hasn't gotten much traction. Only Seinfeld seems to get any of the individual spotlight besides Bach, and he's just too damn serious most of the time. Bach is loony.

My two favorite moments were Sebastian Bach sipping on some wine like it was a '68 Claret and telling Scott Ian about it, and Ian turns around and tells him he's drinking "Two-Buck Chuck" Charles Shaw. That was hilarious. Then when he keeps telling everyone that he has a Top 20 album right now, only to find out that the top 20 album is some Guitar Rock Ballad compilation album and "18 and Life" or "I Remember You" is one of the songs on it.

    Bach is stuck in 1987.
