We still don't know what's going on with the Supercoppa (most likely this winter in Saudi Arabia), but Coppa Italia news was released today. Juve will start in the Round of 16, taking place on January 12th and 19th, 2022. Juve could face Torino or Sampdoria in the Round of 16 with Sassuolo in the Quarters.
If you want to watch the start of the Coppa Italia this weekend, Paramount+ will have every game available. This is more than ESPN ever did for the Coppa Italia.
Just watched the Coppa Italia Magazine Show on Paramount+ and most of it was in 4K. Some of the game clips weren’t, but some were. The rest of the show, interviews, etc were in 4K.
Maybe we get an upgrade then. Who were the studio people? Did they know anything about Serie A, or were they more Brits focusing on players who used to play;y in the Prem?
They haven't announced the studio crew yet. I believe for most games they will use the international audio feed and then for the games on CBS Sports Network will use their own. Rumors that Bonetti could be involved. The studio is going to be in NYC and he's in CT I believe.
Matteo said on his podcast "CalcioCast" that he is with CBS/Paramount+ for Serie A moving forward. Take it FWIW, he said that they are working something big...
The Supercoppa will be played January 5th at the San Siro. This will postpone the Juve vs Napoli game that was scheduled for January 6th (where Napoli would have been missing some players because of the ACN). funny how it was never played in Turin during all those years Juve won it.
GdS and CdS are both claiming that they Supercoppa will now be played on January 12th, still at the San Siro. The Juve-Napoli and Bologna-Inter games will not be postponed.
There's a chance the SuperCoppa could be postponed given the increasing COVID numbers in Italy, yesterday they recorded 98,000 new cases and today they reported 127,000 new cases.
Cuadrado and De Ligt will miss the game against Inter on Wednesday due to yellow card accumulation and red card respectively from today's game against Roma.
Do we try and build upon the win by starting the midfield 3 that ended the previous game? Or do we try and rotate for a pretty meaningless trophy? it is hard to say any silverware is meaningless the way things are going...
I think we need to start with our strongest team available. To get one over on inter would be a good physiological boost before we play in hem in the league
Well he just got it recently, the green pass or whatever its called is given after 15 days so he only must have gotten it in the past few days.
I can understand going 4-4-2 as they play 5 in the middle but why is our most creative and technically best player Dybala on the bench ?
In the past 10 years this is the first time the Supercoppa has been played at the Scudetto winners home. Interesting.
TV listed it as 4-3-3. Our lineup is held together by rubber bands and scotch tape. I don't see how our MF is not going to get overrun.
