Sarri has them nowhere near as well-organized defensively than Allegri did. The Verona loss never would have occurred where you had an Allegri side defending a 1-0 lead going into the last third of the game. Meanwhile you don't have any of the positive aspects, particularly in attack, that have been associated with Sarri sides of the past. So basically what we have is a hybrid side with none of the benefits of a Sarri or Allegri-coached side, but will all the negatives associated with those two, that relies on Ronaldo to bail them out every match.
Jeez u guys have bad memory....last 2yrs of Allegri was agonizing. Not much different than this Sarri team
This team needs to get their s*t together. Management needs to make moves happen, the midfield game needs to be rebuild, the mid was better with Khedira than these bums.
Hence why Allegri got the boot. However Allegri generally had the side well-organized defensively. Sarri has yet to do that over long stretches.
Agreed at least defensively we were better. This year our defense gets carved open so easily even by shit teams. And dont get me started on set pieces...feels like a PK against us
Keep in mind that Sarri has not had Chiellini at his disposal for the entire season. When Allegri lost Chiellini last season and didn't have his usual world class replacements available because Barzagli was out of form and her forced Benatia out, the defense fell apart as well.
I don't think that the central defense has been the major issue after the first couple of months. Overall, Bonucci has played well. Demiral was excellent before going down with injury and De Ligt keeps getting better. The issue with Sarri is that whether or not intended the fluidity of play has not been there and this team has no clear identity other than getting bailed out by Ronaldo. True, this was our identity in Allegri's last season as well, but we brought in Sarri to play more aesthetic, positive football. That hasn't happened.
Well Ronaldo needs to be scoring those goals, thats why he gets paid 3x our highest paid. He also gets 7 pk goals to his name that others may have pulled. In open play he actually has less goals that Ilicic in the league
Ronaldo has scored in 11 straight games, he's not the problem. In fact if it wasn't for him we'd probably be in third right now
Hes not the problem but hes doing his job like Bonucci or TEK are doing on defense. He also plays 90min of every game so yes im expecting those goals and more actually. He should be scoring above 30 in a season
Saying Ronaldo merely "does his job" is akin to saying Messi does his job. It's unrealistic to expect that Ronaldo could or should do any more than what he is doing. He is an elite, all-time player, on top form and we'd be in big trouble these last couple of seasons had he not been part of the squad.
Italy is such a mess, now they're saying Juve-Milan might be played behind closed doors hours after saying it would be limited to fans not from affected regions. Decision won't be until later today apparently.
So the evil Juventus that doesn't want to give fans their money back for tickets just gave away 3 tons of food to people in need that were to be sold at the bars and restaurants of the Allianz for the Milan match
Is every team going to refund all ticket sales for the next month? Or is it just the money hungry Juventus management?
Juve should be ashamed...if you are going to rob people of their hard earned money, at least offer an alternative....i dont know free J membership or some 50% discount code or something? Come on its not that hard to get creative Agnelli. I pay for annual membership thru our fan club that doesn't have many perks...but seeing how our club treats fans these days i might reconsider renewing. This isnt the way to do business and if theyre too cheap, i will withdraw my support.
Rumors that football will kick off again at the end of May (27th and 28th) starting with the Coppa Italia semis. Yeaaaaa, that would be a mistake. Just scrap the season already, stop trying to force this shit
The league announces it will reopen about two seconds ago and both Milan clubs are already complaining about the Coppa Italia scheduling. I used to be against the idea of a European Super League, but to the extent that we can get away from some of these whining, peasant clubs, I am all for it. Inter may be able to get in such a league given their present standing, but Milan are no longer a big club.
