Medical tests confirmed that Carles Puyol has fractured his right cheekbone. The player will undergo further tests on Monday to determine the extent of the injury. Puyol broke his cheekbone when he collided with Lamah in one of the last plays of the match. Some reports suggest that he could be out for 3-4 weeks...

    Training session on Monday
Barça will return to training on Monday at 10.00 at the Ciutat Esportica Sant Joan Despí. Gerard Piqué will hold a press conference after the training session.
    LPB
Coentrao was sent off of the bench for insulting the referee, since he was shown a direct red card, he will not be available for selection.

Wait, Coentrao really is suspended but Tito isn't?

Think we'll see Alves and Alba play together this game? I was concerned about those two getting caught upfield against LPB's counter-attack, but Tito held back and started Adriano. So I'm anxious to see if Tito dares to pair them up and if so, how they perform.

I thought last year the precedent was set that you had to go out and murder a player or coach in order to get suspended for a Supercup match. Now they slightly changed the rules so that you get suspended for shouting something from a bench. But only if you have blonde hair apparently...

It's more what he said, apparently. Tito disagreed with a call. Coentrao called the ref "hijo de puta."

Time to add on the growin' pressure of LPB by making them start the season with four matches, zero wins.

I guess Valdes, Alves, Pique, XBI, Messi and Pedro are more or less given starters and the decisions are Masch/Puyi (I guess Masch), Alexis/Villa/Cesc/Tello (I guess Alexis) and Alba/Adriano (I guess Alba).

Puyol is out for four to six weeks with a cheekbone injury.

And I'd rather not see Alexis start this, would prefer Cesc for the second leg.

Where does it say he's out 4-6 weeks? Hadn't heard of anything too precise on the subject - only that in barcastuff and official site it said that "decision later, won't risk him" etc so thought that he is an option, but we will go for Masch. But anyway - Masch and Pique for tomorrow for sure. As for Cesc/Alexis, either is fine by me. In general though I like to see players fielded after they've performed mediocrily as to keep everyone's confidence high, but then again obv this is no charity. Neither of Cesc/Alexis has been great so far this young season.

    Got this off of barcastuff myself after the game on Sunday;

And if we're looking to play Alexis, I'd hope he plays through the center where he has been at his best for us since he arrived, in my opinion. He puts a lot of extra pressure on the Madrid defenders that way like he did in that Clasico back in April when he came on. They had to handle him, Messi, Iniesta....it was just too much for them. I'd hope for something similar if he does start.

I think Alexis should start, because he stepped it up in the last 20-25 minutes on the weekend. I thought he played much better than Fabregas. Either way, I have a feeling they'd both play well tonight no matter who starts.

Claiming Alexis played better than Fabregas in the game over the weekend is a bit like boasting that you beat a corpse in a 100m race.:D

I don't think anyone has ever beaten a corpse in a 100m race.

'bout the prediction: isn't Coentrao suspended? I'd like him to play rather than Marcelo though. Seems solid prediction otherwise.

Too right. I'm pretty certain Alexis will start, because with Villa still be be short of being able to play a full 90 mins or starting, we don't have a lot of options. Tello has the speed but he just doesn't have a footballing brain.

It's so obvious that trolls like this should be left unanswered, but gonna say this still: some of us read Real Madrid forums (like they read Barca forums etc) and it seems people - already - have gotten pretty fed up with your nonsense. I suggest, instead of trolling to even more people, you spend your valuable time otherwise - either try to contribute in a bit more constructive way or just do something else than hang around in the internet forums.

Alexis finds it difficult to beat players now (something he used to do easily before) and his passing is not as good as that of Fabregas. With that been said, they're not really the same type of players.

Mourinho: "Winning the SuperCopa is of the least importance."

With all due respect, just because your opinion doesn't fit what Mou wants everyone to believe doesn't main [sic] it's less valid.
