With apologies to Idries Shah, retold from memory:

Nasrudin and a friend went to the soccer game. Nasrudin excused himself to get a drink.

"And one for me," said his friend.

When Nasrudin returned empty handed, his friend was puzzled.

    "Where's my drink?"

"Well, I went to the drinking fountain and drank. Then I went to drink for you, but I found that you were no longer thirsty, so I came back to my seat."

    --------

Back on topic: BEAT the f'n Revs like a rented mule. Patfan, love ya, mean it, but this is business. Hopefully FCD gels better than they have over the last few games (wins aside) and shows that they're ready to match up with (and beat) the top teams in MLS. They can't play TFC and LA every day.

Well, not in reality-land, as tens of PSPs/Xboxes fire up FIFA 08.

Is Wallace really the second youngest player on the roster?

I was surprised to see him in the starting lineup...

Wow, pretty quiet around here. First half was kind of up and down, but you've gotta say the draw is a fair result so far. Denilson and Ruiz both look like they're going to do something special in the second half. Dax has been very solid too. Where's Alvarez?

Denilson is playing a little too lazy for my liking. Dax is really becoming something special.

Ruiz out of magic huh? hehe :D

I do enjoy Greg Lalas constantly taking little digs at Denilson

I wish someone would do the same about his crap commentating

Ruiz with his 10th in all competitions.

    Maybe there's still a chance.

What the HELL was that Dax? Terrible free kick off a dangerous position.

Absolutely shocking 2nd half from Dax. Every touch has been awful.

And as I'm typing Khano Smith ends the game.

Forgive me for being out of town with no TV, but Reis gets a yellow but not PK? I assume its outside the box, how the hell did that happen?

Dario kept us in the game until the last goal. The bottom line is I don't want to see one (not even Moor or Goodson) of our defenders back next season. They were just awful. We will not win anything with this D. They are simply terrible. No question.

What a frustrating game. Ruiz is back, but we need a healthy Toja, Cooper, and Denilson not playing like a slug to have any shot at MLS Cup this year.

Dario's at a bit of fault for the third and fourth goals, but come on guys our defense is letting balls fly in left and right from the wings. If our defense would fcuking pressure someone then Dario wouldn't constantly be under assault.

You don't hang this one on Sala. Not by a long shot. He kept us in the game with some terrific saves. When your midfielders are passing the ball to the Revs inside your own box, there's not much you can do.

You don't hang it on Goodson either. He spent much of the night covering up other people's mistakes.

    Denilson was troubling.

Our midfield sucked and our back line wasn't much better.

I'm starting to get worried that Denilson is only a few cute passes. He doesn't run worth a sh!t, he could hit a long ball to save his life and more often than not his cute passes were not on target 100%.

Yeah, what is it with us refusing to defend the flanks in our defensive third? At first I thought it was just Gbandi getting caught upfield, but it seems to be our tactics to completely yield the flanks behind our defense to all opponents.

Man this defense if frightfully bad. Record-setting bad. Bye bye 2007.

To be fair to him, it's gonna take some time to get used to the fake field.
