But my point stands. If you get a doctorate, you get to use the initials. You just have to identify what your doctorate is in. I missed veterinarians when I said medical doctors, tho. But I would never take away the ability for anyone who works that hard in college to get it.

And of COURSE attorneys don't use Dr., unless they are teaching perhaps. They have their own acronym after their name, and their own honorific.

And people with doctorates in other fields can earn specialties that are recognized and earn them an acronym after their name.

I never went to college and I think that people who put in the time get the respect. Most of them don't go around representing themselves as medical doctors. Except for a few clowns out there. But you can call them on the carpet.

You just are being political, and not valuing educators. Not a surprise, most people seem to not give them the respect they deserve.
