Well trust a German coach to have a plan for penalties

I thought I saw a red cross on one of our pk's so that means someone missed, doesn't it? Maybe I've got it wrong.

Kai missed with a poor shot but Kepa saved the team. Rüdiger with a hell of a penalty. Congrats to your first trophy this season.

Starting the season with a Cup… meaningless but a cup none the less

Jorginho's arms must be tired from all of the recent celebrations.

I think we deserved it, for the first half, the last 15 minutes of the second half and during extra time we were the 'better' team but I'm not sure what happened for the first 30 minutes of the second half where we seemed to really fall apart for a while!?
Villereal put an awful lot of effort into this game, I think they 'wanted' it more, I 'tip my hat' to them. Always nice to see Dave picking up silverware

Villereal kept Chelsea pinned in their half of the field in the early part of the 2nd half. How they accomplished this is a bit concerning. Tuchel needs to figure this out.

Villarreal are a good team and beat United for the Europa league final. That’s not an accident their a good team. We aren’t going to dominate every game 100% of the time. These are pros they make it to this level for a reason. We were in control for the majority of the match. You can’t really ask for more.
