I'm going with the Pats, just waiting to try and get -6.5 instead of -7. If not I may just load up on the money line at 1.4.

I don't see how Carolina scores. The Pats held the Colts and Titans to 14 each, and the Panthers have nowhere near the offensive capabilities of those two teams. Also, I think there is a good possibility the Pats defense scores a touchdown.

Pats offense is efficient enough for 2 touchdowns at least. Carolina is a physical team, preventing a blowout.

Psychologically, the Pats don't trash talk. Belichick will have them focused on defeating Carolina. Very smart coaches and very smart players.

Agreed. I must say I'm tempted to re-enter the gambling world with a reasonably heavy stake on NE as well. My only concern is that I really don't think I've seen Carolina play as much as I should to wager any kind of large stake. Maybe I'll check around for some special bets later.

I did ok this nfl season. My account has seen a modest augmentation.

MLS in particular and soccer in general killed me last year. Soccer has to be the hardest sport to wager because there are 3 possible results from a soccer match. I have a natural disinclination to pick draws. I usually have a definite preference for one team over another.

I hear you loud and clear on that, though it's great when you nail one because of the usually great odds. I like throwing a draw or two in on a Yankee bet every now and again, really ups the potential payout. As for the Super Bowl, bet365 has the -6.5 that you seek, which i will be taking myself.

Unfortunately, my account is with Intertops, which is sticking with Pats -7.

I'll see if there is movement in the next day or two.
Otherwise, I'll have to open up an account with another co.

Most places now seem to have the line at 7, though some had it at 6.5 earlier this week. Maybe it will fluctuate between now and then.

Got it on the Pats at -7.
The spread could be -7.5 by kickoff.

I'm feeling less certain about this as kick-off approaches. It might just be a small token stake on NE (-7) for tradition's sake.

Lesson learned, play the money line when your team is in the championship final.

My team wins, but i lose.
