The guys at Supah Fans look like they're trying their hand, again, at getting Revs fans attention. There's a twitter and a Facebook page. Previously SF sold that "Foxboro Futbol Faithful" shirt (that was, IMHO, boring) for people who rode the bus to the Gillette the team partnered with them on last year. I find this new effort interesting because the Revs are ignored by the local unauthorized/fun sports apparel companies like Chowdaheadz and Sully's. I'm curious to see what they come up with, although with half the season gone you have to wonder if they'll roll anything out before the season ends.
Because this isn't the Patriots and they would never call soccer "football". They seem to like the word "futbol" (if you notice it's also used on the Facebook page). They also seem stuck on the phrase "Revolution soccer" as if it's the official name of the team. Their other individual team accounts aren't called "Bruins hockey" or "Celtics basketball" for example. In a conversation on Twitter I urged them not to treat the Revs differently from the "big 4" and I was assured they won't. For what it's worth I was told by a former team employee at a game viewing at The Banshee that these guys, and I quote, are "totally clueless" about the Revs and soccer but wanted to try. I'm willing to give them the benefit of the doubt and see what happens.
