Adrian Clarke has a good breakdown of the goal. He notes a chain reaction of decisions that left Gabi with two to mark.

Ahh Adrian Clarke's new solo gig on YouTube. I generally if not always liked his old Breakdowns. Not sure why the club abandoned him/them.

Didn't watch his whole YouTube clip, but just the bit on this last equalizer. Too bad he seems to not have the ability (or money) to show the actual video clips, like he used to do on Arsenal.com.

And I don't know any of the backstory (politics?) of why the Breakdown was scrapped on A.com, but if there were a petition to bring it back, I'd sign it!

He can't show video for copyright reasons. He still works for the club in a commentator capacity. I've heard him asked about the discontinuing of "The Breakdown" on the club's website, and he seems to sort of hedge and just says the club decided to stop doing it.

that was a good breakdown, basically Calafiori started the chain reaction that led to the goal, I gotta rewatch it again now lol

I don’t like this analysis. He seems to suggest that when the ball switched to the opposite side of the field Calafiorishould not have slid over to mark the open man just outside the corner of the 18 and instead should have stayed centrally. That’s not the way any team defense works. Everyone should slide over. Saliba should have marked Brobbey, and Zubi should have taken Saliba’s man.

But, I agree that Raya’s decision was natural. I pretty much said the same thing.

Yeah, and while Adrian agrees we had started to flag, he points out that ironically the sequence starts after Saka actually does close down a cross.

Ironically there's a player in no man's land in front of our box as well

An aside, do you watch at O'Hanlon's? I was in the City a few weeks ago (the weekend of the Fulham match). Checked out O'Hanlon's a few days before the match and the bartender told me it would SRO nearly 2 hours before the match. I couldn't be arsed to get there that early so I watched somewhere else. :D

Place is an absolute trainwreck these days, mind you it was already packed when we were in the dumps, since the Super Duper Mik era it's like you gotta get there by 9am for a 1230pm game smh madness

I was there last season when it wasn’t crowded at all, BUT of course that was for a midweek cup fixture. A few years back, possibly before the Mikel era, I went to an NLD there and it was nuts!
