I'm quite pleasantly surprised to see that the BBC has predicted us as 11th placed this year. Phil McNulty is surprisingly even more optimistic and sees us as top 10 material.

I feel better about the defensive end of things now that cattermole's in to enforce the midfield, but i'm still doubtful as to richardson's capability as a playmaker. Relying on Malbranque's and Edwards' crosses all season seems a bit risky, no matter how strong our forward line is.

I'd like to see one more attacking central midfielder before the 30th.

Surprised in how well Sunderland have played so far but wondering what might happen if too many injuries pop up.

Should be an interesting match this weekend.

Every week lately they have had 3-4 regulars out with injury or suspension. They have not missed a beat because of that fact.

it is interesting to see how things have slightly turned around these last two weekends despite giving away what should have been a victory today.
