That was a really tough loss. We have a crying eleven-year-old boy at my house. Inconsolable.

 

One of the best things about this season being over is hopefully never seeing these stupid commercials again. That mom being a total ass to her kid in the car. I hate parents like that. And so many other annoying commercials.

 

Last time the crew lost to NYRB in the playoffs, the head coach got a new job

 

Can we get rid of the Guatemalan keeper? I'm tired of his fan club being so annoying about him not playing.

Also, I think JRR and AZ are worth keeping. Cheberko is not bad back there.

 

Two trophies in two years.

But it really feels now that significant roster overhaul (investment) is needed to keep the streak of honors going in 2025.

And that assumes Nancy and Cucho will be back.

 

Let’s just be real:

1) we played a huge schedule, looks like it caught up to the players

2) we played NYRB three times to end the year, struggled mightily each game, Nancy’s dogmatic approach didn’t change at any point

3) NYRB wanted it more and played their asses off, sometimes you just have to tip your cap

4) Nancy likes a small squad, and I’m fine with that, but all the minutes caught up and the guys we did sign didn’t step up

5) Camacho is cooked

It was a great season but we got tired and ran into bad form at the wrong time, and Nancy failed to adjust. Fix what needs fixed and let’s go at it again next season.

We still won a title and played in THREE finals this year, let’s not get carried away and act like this is the apocalypse.

 

I was shocked thought it would be Arfsten but his shot was very weak

 

I think we just made more mistakes on defense and gave them a weak goal each game.

 

I think Nancy comes back, not sure about Cucho. Personally, I think Cucho is going to Monterrey.

Nagbe finally looks old, he needs someone next to him that can help with the offense, Zawadzki ain’t that. A DP midfielder is a must.

Also, Camacho needs a replacement, honestly I’d be fine with Zawadzki taking his spot, or Cheberko’s. I think there is some deadweight that can go, mainly Matan and Cheberko. Derrick Jones is also crap and offers nothing (like I said in preseason and y’all doubted it) and DeJuan Jones has been a huge disappointment. Perhaps we should flip him and use those assets toake further moves.

Work needs to be done, and I’m sure it will be.

 

So I have run into Patrick Schulte twice this season, we lost to Pachuca and now NYRB every time. I'll take the blame

We tried to win the shield , Cup > Shield

Fifa / MLS dishonesty doesn’t change anything . The CWC is not even guaranteed to happen but they definitely needed a draw like Messi to even get a TV deal. We all know it’s corrupt the question is who is more responsible for lying and not being upfront. Just follow the money and whoever benefits the most is surely the bigger culprit

 

See you all next year. The only good thing about this weekend was Gladbach winning 4-1 (from my perspective).
