Does anyone know what kind of squad Bayern brought for this tour? Is it close to full-strength, or are they using this to try out new or young players?
7/25/04 Man Utd. vs Bayern Munich: Spector, Howard Spector and Howard both have good shots to start, even though it's an exhibition I'm sure there will be plenty of interest in this game. Live on FSW at 3 p.m. CST

Re: 7/25/04 Man Utd. vs Bayern Munich: Spector, Howard That link is not working for me. Here is another one http://www.suntimes.com/output/soccer/cst-spt-msep25.html
From the pics during yesterdays training Kahn, Makaay and Hargraves are all with the team. Im sure its a pretty full squad except for players in Copa America (If there are any). This should be a real good test for Spector. Cant wait to see how much he has progressed since the u-17 world cup last August
I'm excited to see him play too. I haven't gotten the chance to actually watch him play so it should be exciting to see one of our best young players.
Young Spector ready for wall of sound A new generation of Ferguson Fledglings, including another young American, is being given the opportunity to make an impression on the club's United States tour, which begins against Bayern Munich in Chicago today. Jonathan Spector, a tousle-haired 18-year-old defender signed from Chicago Sockers last summer, would be the most popular inclusion on his home patch in a Manchester United team missing a number of leading players. http://sport.independent.co.uk/football/man_united/story.jsp?story=544444
Christ, what a cheesy headline. "Yank crowd wants young Red Devil to be their little baby" could be the subtitle.
Spector's big chance in US Rookie Red Jonathan Spector could join Manchester United's senior ranks at Soldier Field in Chicago. The 18-year-old American is being lined up for his debut at some point against Bayern Munich on his home patch as the Reds kick off their three-match Champions World Series tour. http://www.manchesteronline.co.uk/s...d/s/124/124889_spectors_big_chance_in_us.html
I'll be watching Brazil - Argentina, and flipping over to Manu-Bayern ( to watch Spector/TH)....It's a shame one has to decide between the two...but a Brazil-Argentina final is not an every day occurrence either..... Hopefully they do replay the game so i get to watch Spector/TH perform for 90 minutes, and not just glimpses here and there plus the 2nd half, by which Brazil/Argentina should be over... Anyway, let's hope Spector plays a good game and gains even more confidence from SAF....
If you have MSG in Jersey they'll have a replay at 8:00 pm on Monday the 26th. http://www.msgnetwork.com/tv_schedule.jsp
Thanks guys....Your suggestions are quite helpful....Let's hope Spector marks Roy Makaay out of the game, huh? Who could have ever thought this kind of scenario would happen this soon? Really awesome stuff!
Who is better between fletcher and Spector ? I really can' t have the answer to that until whatch Spector today, i still remember Fletcher's first match with the senior team.
