When this dude looks at the camera he looks kinda like that clown with the red balloon from Stephen King.
Couldn't tell you, I'm not much of a horror flick affectionado. I just appreciate the kid having a moment and having fun with it.
Cincinnati Enquirer Barlow scores at the death for FC Cincinnati to earn 3-3 draw I watched the game recap on Saturday night, and the late drama which saw each team score deep into injury time for the 3 - 3 draw. And I watched it again today with an eye on the clock, to see how long it took FCC to equalize after they fell behind 3 - 2 . . . it’s about 11 or 12 seconds that elapse from the kickoff to their 3rd goal. So this reminded me of a goal the Galaxy once scored in Kansas City, which took even less time I think than this one on Saturday. In the 2002 playoffs, the Galaxy played at KC and fell behind 3 - 0 midway through the 2nd half. I think Preki had scored for KC, and Tony Meola had come upfield to join the celebration . . . and on the ensuing kickoff, Chris Albright received the short kickoff pass and hammered it from the midfield circle over Meola’s head as he walked back to his goal. I’m not sure Meola even saw the ball fly overhead — he just picked up the ball from his own goal and wondered what the hell had happened. I think it ended 3 - 1, but that’s the only time I remember ever seeing this work, when a player shoots from the kickoff and scores. Now the kickoff rule has changed and the first touch no longer has to go forward of the midfield stripe, and I don’t think players shoot from the kickoff anymore.
Gee, thanks, now I'm having flashbacks to MLS Cup 2006. (Twellman and Ching scored 71 seconds apart in AET, a year or two after FIFA got rid of the Golden Goal)
