i've only read what newspaper says. The Times have been giving him between 6-8. I haven't seen him get lower than 6 yet. The guy must have been solid constantly. If only I could've watched the games... Dec 28 crash will be fun
Here's what they said on the official site. Note that Sun's reward for winning the prize is that 1000 pounds will be given to a charity of Sun's choice. What about a reward for the player! SUN SCOOPS AWARD Chinese defender, Jihai Sun has been named the First Advice Player of the Month. The first Player of the Month award, instigated by City sponsors, First Advice has been won by Jihai Sun. The player, who celebrates his twenty fifth birthday on Monday, was the choice of a panel of experts including former Blues stars, Dennis Tueart and Gary Owen. Gary Owen conceded that the panel faced a difficult decision in awarding the first of these prestigious awards and likened the panel's discussion to events in the award winning movie, Twelve Angry Men. "We really did have a difficult decision with the discussion getting heated at times. In the end Jihai Sun was the winner after his brilliant start to the season in which he has produced such a high level of consistency." The defender picked up the award at a special lunch at Maine Road on Thursday. And showing how his English has improved since his arrival in February spoke of his surprise at winning. "I am very surprised to be voted the Player of the Month. I have to thank all the players in the City squad for helping me. But I don't want to look back, I want to look forward to the future with City and the important games which are coming up." As part of the award sponsors, First Advice agreed to present a cheque for £1,000 to the charity of the winners choice. Jihai Sun selected the NSPCC and the money will go towards a new centre which the charity is building in the North West of England.
hey boys long time no see! I'm surprised that Sun has adapted to the central defender position so well so quickly. His speed and agility are his biggest asset. Even guys like Thierry Henry hasn't been able to gain much advantage over him in the speed department. Not to sound (too) conceited, but from day 1 I've been telling you guys that he's the best Chinese player ever. Just too damn bad that he got injured during WC.
