I was just wondering what has been going on in the transfer market this summer.

I know about Hilal's and Al-Nasr's transfers as well as Wehda's but not more then that so let's get a list going:

    Al Nasr

    In
Mohamed Al-Sahlawi 35 million Saudi Riyal Al Qadisiya
Hussein Abdul Ghani ??? Neuchatel Xamax
    Lee Chun-Soo ??? Feyenoord
Víctor Alberto Figueroa ??? Godoy Cruz

    Out
    Elton Jose ??? ???

    Al Hilal

    In
Lee Young Pyo ??? Borussuia Dortmund
    Thiago Neves ??? Hamburger SV
Isa Al Meyhani ??? Al Wehda

    Out
Seol Ki Heon Loan end Fulham
Tarik Al Tayeb Contract end Shabab?

    Al Wehda

    In
Mohamed Al Helo (less than Sahlawi) Sudoos
    Youseff Al-Quduwei ???? FAR Rabat
Rafig Abdul Samad ????? Wydad Casbalanca
Faisal Al Dosary loan Al Ittifaq

    Out
Harrison Da Silva loan ends Al Ahli
Amir Al Akrout loan ends FC Freiburg (I think?)
Mejdi Traoi loan ends Red Bull Salzburg

and....that's all I know. Have Ittihad,Ahlir or Shabab bought any players?

I doubt it. Why would he leave Saudi Arabia for a lesser league?

What does FIFA rankings have to with transfers? It's performance on the pitch that counts.

I don't think this Australian player is very good. He's like a third-tier OZ player from what I hear. But look at the zebras' other signings: Tarek and Flavio, ayy caramba. Flavio is exactly the kind of physical and aggressive striker that Saudi defenders have trouble with, and Tarek is Tarek. Shabab have no excuse not to challenge for the title this season.

If I was in Riyadh I would go to Al-Shabab's games this season just to watch Tarek play. :(

    Talk about a mouthful.

Why didn't Al Hilal renewed the contract with Tarek ??

I think Al Hilal doesn't have any decent player in their lineup now, even Yasser is a part of history now as he has lost his form and touch...
God knows what will happen next ...

Sultan al Bargan is NOT moving to Al Wehda. Eric Gerets apparentely told the Hilal board to offer the player a new contract as he is immpresed with his abilities.

Wehda are now looking at Al Khathran or Omar Al Ghamdi.

Because Al-Hilal is run by an idiot.

Al-Hilal still has many "decent" players, e.g. Osama Hawsawi, but I think what you mean is that there's no longer anyone who can provide any individual brilliance or flair.

I think he's gonna do what Al Shabab needs, a physical player with reliable passes, strong in the air, and can mark and cover important offensive players. Other than that we dont need it really.

    He doesn't seem very happy.

Here's what Cosmin said to a Romanian paper about Al-Khathran:

It's true; even though he's around 35, he has more stamina in him than many other Saudi players in their twenties.

Speaking of Golden Oldies, Ahmad Al-Dokhi is reportedly close to joining Al-Nasr. So they're back-four will include Abdelghani, Dokhi, and Saleh Siddig!

Wait, Nasr signed Saleh Siddig? Why would they do that?

LOL What's wrong man? Ittihad are the "tigers" and Shabab are the "zebras." Zebras are very beautiful and graceful creatures by the way.
