The soccer calendar this Summer is very busy with the Gold Cup and the CWC, but Euro clubs are heading over anyway. I haven't heard of many yet, but the EPL is on its way. https://www.premierleague.com/summerseries In London they can see the FA Cup Final for these prices, and I still hear complaining. That aside its a group of doubleheader friendlies at large stadiums. Saturday, July 26 @ MetLife Stadium, New Jersey Match 1: Everton vs AFC Bournemouth (16:00 ET kick-off) Match 2: Manchester United vs West Ham United (19:00 ET kick-off) Wednesday, July 30 @ Soldier Field, Chicago Match 1: West Ham United vs Everton (17:30 CT kick-off) Match 2: Manchester United vs AFC Bournemouth (20:30 CT kick-off) and Sunday, August 3 @ Mercedes-Benz Stadium, Atlanta Match 1: AFC Bournemouth vs West Ham United (14:00 ET kick-off) Match 2: Manchester United vs Everton (17:00 ET kick-off) Looks like they are hoping for Manchester United to sell these games and attaching less "sexy" teams to the tour to build their brands. As always feel free to post any club friendlies in the United States that you learn of.
Manchester United was straight garbage this year outside the Europa League. The prices for those friendlies are exorbitant, and somehow people are still paying them.
United will have to be terrible for at least a decade before their huge fanbase in the USA starts shrinking. They were on TV a lot when the EPL started getting popular here.
Btw from what I understand of the settlement with relevant sports, seems other leagues will inevitably be having regular season games here now? Does anything keep club America or Chivas from playing most of their games in l.a. ?
In one of the odder friendlies, Richmond Kickers and playing CD Leganes on 16 July. Glas to see friendlies with lower-level teams and different markets in the US.
Yep, I was thinking about the Eintracht Frankfurt friendly with a USL team when I wrote this. It is great to see.
Louisville City has Leganes on July 12 and Eintracht Frankfurt July 29. https://www.loucity.com/leganes/ https://www.loucity.com/frankfurt/

This was a closed door scrimmage, not a friendly advertised for public consumption. On that note, Philadelphia Union host Atlas FC tomorrow night in a friendly at Subaru Park.
Aston Villa is coming. July 30 vs St. Louis City SC in St. Louis, MO August 2 vs Nashville SC in Nashville, TN
