I don’t disagree, a well run club to be sure, but when salaries low and expectations lower, a club can operate in an organic state. Roma, Milan, Arsenal, etc. are in the worst possible situation, just good enough for CL, but never good enough to compete and retain world class players
And it is time Roma dropped the pretense of what they are and got on the same page. I have been saying for years good players are out there across the small leagues for a handful of million waiting for their shot. Just because they play in some random league for a small side doesn't mean thy cant perform. It just needs a manager and a DS with the vision. I thought we had that this season.
I would partially agree with that. In a way we did although we never were able to hold the team together long enough to grow.
Its going to be a beautiful sight when we sell Cengiz for 40m this summer and Carles Perez becomes a star.
So Gent's Canadian forward Jonathan David looks very decent. They are currently 3-0 up in the first half. He has scored two. His record in 2 years in Belgium. Last year 33 appearances - 12 goals This year 25 appearances - 17 goals A search on google says he is being scouted for a 20 million move to the likes of Ajax and Porto. When those two are being mentioned it tells you a lot. His international record albeit against weak opposition. 13 goals in 12. Still needs to bang them in ...cough cough Dzeko. Definitely a player of note and one we should be interested in. Hopefully Petrachi is paying attention and not distracted by the stories going around.
Mkhitaryan sta a Roma in villeggiatura eppure dopo 3 settimane già parlava italiano e senza praticamente mai giocare ha segnato cmq quanto Kluivert e Under assieme. Due che stanno qui da anni ma che devono ancora essere accompagnati dal traduttore per dire buongiorno e buonasera— Bollito Ignoto-1 (@MattPetcoke) February 23, 2020
Think 30 million was the buy clause? Not sure how we pay 50 million for him and Smalling without CL. Both are going to be heavy salaries as well. Edit: can’t find a mention of a buy clause so maybe I’m misremembering

I would like to Smalling stay simply for some continuity in our defence, where we’ll probably end up shopping for new full backs (I’m praying) come the end of the season Mikhi needs a few more good games imo, he has been hot and cold for us (though he’s one of the few who actually puts the ball in the net)
I’m pretty sure we don’t have a buyout clause for him. I’d like to keep him but people are talking as if he’s our best attacking mid all of a sudden. He was great yesterday but besides that he’s had maybe 2 good games in between being injured and playing like complete shit.
Mikhi is a broken player, but Smalling can still play for many years at top level, hope we keep the later one.

Already did last summer and said the losses might exceed 150M by June. Its impossible to make that back in capital gains, so we will see what kind of arrangement can they negotiate with Uefa.
