Werder have begun talks with Füllkrug's consultants. However, it remains unclear right now whether he returns or be resold on the market. #Werder hat mittlerweile Gespräche mit Füllkrugs Berater aufgenommen. Noch ist unklar, ob Lücke zurückkommt, weiterverkauft wird etc.— worum.org (@worum_org) May 10, 2016
New summer signing, Thanos Petsos passes his medical. http://www.kreiszeitung.de/werder-bremen/werder-bremen-petsos-stippvisite-6402123.html
Vestergaard discussion with Gladbach are intensifying. Sport Bild also speculates that offers from England and China are coming in for Ujah. So that means 10-12 Mio for each player. In terms of possible additions, Füllkrug talks continue while H96's Kiyotake has been brought up as well.
According to this, Benfica and Sporting are both tracking Santi Garcia. He has one year left on his contract which runs out in 2017. And could go for around 3 Mio. https://www.noticiasaominuto.com/de...-werder-bremen-no-radar-de-benfica-e-sporting
Hajrovic to return this summer after a disappointing loan spell at Eibar. Currently no info on what the next plan for him will be.
Philip Bargfrede also signed a next contract, until summer 2018. I hope (and wish him) he will have to worry less about injuries than in the last seasons.
There's also mention of Gladbach being interested in Florian Grillitsch for around 4 Mio. He's a quality talent so I'd much rather keep him. But his contract is set to expire next year in 2017. Ideally, I hope that arrangements can be made to complete a long term extension. http://mobil.krone.at/phone/kmm__1/story_id__510681/sendung_id__113/story.phtml

Tottenham are another club keeping tabs on Vestergaard. He's a top defender for us, but 15 Mio would be a tough offer to turn down. In the long run we'll be alright, just like when we sold Sokratis several years ago. With the increasingly likely event that he goes, I would move up Veljkovic or Verlaat and give them a chance with the pros next. http://www.hitc.com/en-gb/2016/05/1...nterested-in-jannik-vestergaard-would/page/1/
Max Eberl was today seen at the Weserstadion and below article speculates important steps have been made a potential Vestergaard move to Gladbach. http://www.kreiszeitung.de/werder-b...n-vestergaard-transfer-abschluss-6414715.html
Hannover 96 are also interested in Füllkrug. However it's unlikely he'll be joining his hometown club because his focus remains towards playing in the 1.BL next season. http://www.transfermarkt.de/n-fullk...m/154/thread_id/1019777/page/1#anchor_2294480
Final decision will be made this Friday regarding Füllkrug. The previously discussed option of immediate resell to another club is also not happening anymore. It's either we buy him back straight up or not. http://www.kreiszeitung.de/werder-bremen/werder-bremen-keine-tricksereien-fuellkrug-6430887.html
Fanendo Adi is the top scorer of the Portland Timbers. And currently has 8 goals in 12 games in the MLS this season. Probably more of on the unlikely side though. Ujah will also need to be sold first to open up a roster spot. My first choice target is still Füllkrug if another striker is brought in. Source: Werder Bremen will be closely tracking Fanendo Adi this summer. He is also linked with Rangers, Celtic, Crystal Palace, St. Etienne.— MLS Transfers (@MLSTransfers) May 24, 2016
Appears like Baumann isn't prepared to sell Vestergaard quite yet. He's going to discuss with the player's agent again to see if there's any possibility of keeping him for another year. Potential future replacement has been mentioned though. According to this Brazilian source, Werder are interested in FC Sao Paulo's CB. Hugo Gomes. He was previously on loan at Mallorca. http://globoesporte.globo.com/futeb...o-sao-paulo-pode-parar-no-futebol-alemao.html
Baumann's final verdict on Füllkrug's buy back clause situation has been made, and he won't be returning to us. Mixed feeling about it, and this decision can be interpreted in different ways. Guess that management are comfortable with the new additions to the attack in Thy and Eilers who arrived as free transfers. Along with Pizarro signing a one-year extension, and Johannsson returning from injury. Baumann has also said that he doesn't expect to sell Ujah this summer either. So the offensive depth is there, but honestly I'm still a bit disappointed as Füllkrug offers certain quality that is higher than Thy and Eilers. And room for further growth based on the performances he's shown with FCN. The clincher for me now is whether they can get J. Eggestein to sign that extension. http://www.transfermarkt.de/baumann...-fullkrug-kommt-nicht-zuruck/view/news/236733
Update on the Vestergaard situation. Gladbach have agreed to personal terms with him, but negotiations are still ongoing with our management. http://www.borussia.de/english/team...=17696&cHash=5e66454a3f4c031668d03fa354bf0c9f

Big NEWS!!!!! JoJo is staying put. signed a contract till 2019 and will train with the pros as he is intergrated in. http://www.werder.de/aktuell/news/profis/20152016/jeggestein-verlaengert-02062016/

Grasshoppers CZ players continue to be a source of transfer discussion for us, as we're mentioned to be interested in their right-back Moritz Bauer. http://www.transfermarkt.de/moritz-bauer-zum-sv-werder-bremen-/thread/forum/154/thread_id/1020362
