Werder have begun talks with Füllkrug's consultants. However, it remains unclear right now whether he returns or be resold on the market.

Pizarro signs a new contract now that we stay in the Bundesliga. :)

Vestergaard discussion with Gladbach are intensifying. Sport Bild also speculates that offers from England and China are coming in for Ujah. So that means 10-12 Mio for each player. In terms of possible additions, Füllkrug talks continue while H96's Kiyotake has been brought up as well.

Hajrovic to return this summer after a disappointing loan spell at Eibar. Currently no info on what the next plan for him will be.

Philip Bargfrede also signed a next contract, until summer 2018.
I hope (and wish him) he will have to worry less about injuries than in the last seasons.

Tottenham are another club keeping tabs on Vestergaard. He's a top defender for us, but 15 Mio would be a tough offer to turn down. In the long run we'll be alright, just like when we sold Sokratis several years ago. With the increasingly likely event that he goes, I would move up Veljkovic or Verlaat and give them a chance with the pros next.

Fanendo Adi is the top scorer of the Portland Timbers. And currently has 8 goals in 12 games in the MLS this season. Probably more of on the unlikely side though. Ujah will also need to be sold first to open up a roster spot. My first choice target is still Füllkrug if another striker is brought in.

Appears like Baumann isn't prepared to sell Vestergaard quite yet. He's going to discuss with the player's agent again to see if there's any possibility of keeping him for another year.

Potential future replacement has been mentioned though. According to this Brazilian source, Werder are interested in FC Sao Paulo's CB. Hugo Gomes. He was previously on loan at Mallorca.

Baumann's final verdict on Füllkrug's buy back clause situation has been made, and he won't be returning to us. Mixed feeling about it, and this decision can be interpreted in different ways. Guess that management are comfortable with the new additions to the attack in Thy and Eilers who arrived as free transfers. Along with Pizarro signing a one-year extension, and Johannsson returning from injury. Baumann has also said that he doesn't expect to sell Ujah this summer either. So the offensive depth is there, but honestly I'm still a bit disappointed as Füllkrug offers certain quality that is higher than Thy and Eilers. And room for further growth based on the performances he's shown with FCN. The clincher for me now is whether they can get J. Eggestein to sign that extension.

Indeed, this news definitely makes my week. Although there really wasn't ever a moment of doubt. ;)
