Cheeky, though Genoa's transfer business always baffles me.
Looks like Madrid are gonna keep Khedira and flog Di Maria, unfortunate but it was a long shot. There's got to be some cheap DM out there, Stambouli, Mavuba, hell I even like that Samp pairing Obaing and Krsticic

Everything I've read/heard about Fernando makes me want him most for our midfield.

Will Bernardeschi stay with Fiorentina this season?

It's looking that way. They are saying that, as things stand, we are likely to play a 4-3-1-2. If he stays Montella says he plans to use Cuadrado as a trequartista. Kinda a waste of his wheels if you ask me. I think Bernardeschi will likely be Rossi's understudy.

I was hot on Bernardeschi 2 years ago, so hopefully he's going to make me look good.

He's looked good in preseason except for the Arezzo friendly, IMHO.

    - Newcastle are battling it out with Fiorentina to sign Rayo Vallecano's Guinea international right winger Lass Bangoura, according to reports in Spain. The 22-year-old played no part in his club's La Liga opener against Atletico Madrid on Monday night.

This is my favourite kind of news!

We made an official bid for Fernando. The offer was a loan with option to buy for 15m euros for 5 years

Interesting. Don't know the player but after reading a description he sounds like someone who we'd try to use as a replacement for Cuadrado. And this coming at the time when it looks like teams have all backed away from trying to get him from us. Strange. Not that I have any problem with picking up a quality player.

I've only seen a little bit with Wolski, but I've liked what I've seen. Would have liked to have kept him with us, but maybe a loan isn't so bad for him to get more playing time. I read that there's nothing in the loan deal that gives them an option to buy so he'll still be Viola.

Roncaglia to Genoa. I personally would've liked to keep him as a back up

"He’ll join the Grifone initially on loan with an option to buy at the end of the season."

Apparently we're bidding €9m for Richards from ManCity

After yesterday he'd go straight in place of Brillante...
Next signing likely to be Diakite now he's rescinded his contract, as a replacement for Roncaglia.

According to Boban, Badelj is a dm without a lot of pace but with great technique.

Badelj is basically a DM/regista hybrid. A very nice fit actually, he's a little like Pizarro but probably not the same passer, though more disciplined. Above average tackler and passer.

He might not be the enforcer some wanted who will run everywhere biting at ankles, but he's a player who is both good at regaining and keeping possession.

    Really impressed with this signing.

Good info. I'm not a big Pizarro fan, so this works for me.
