The shirt numbers are announced for FC Porto for the 2016-17 season, but no mention of Suk. http://www.fcporto.pt/pt/noticias/Pages/futebol-fc-porto-a-nova-numeracao-dos-dragoes.aspx He's no longer listed on FC Porto's 1st team page. http://www.fcporto.pt/pt/futebol/plantel/Pages/plantel.aspx
Because he has been loaned to Trabzonspor. Already registered with UEFA. http://www.uefa.com/teamsandplayers/teams/club=52731/domestic/index.html
It's official. He goes on loan to Trabzonspor. Good for him I guess. Better than rotting on Porto's bench. With good stats he could get attention from other clubs or even from Porto manager. Anyone knows about a buy option? I hope not...
club to club n history? yes, but he can get playing time. remember, he is a journeyman. Ajax, Groningen, Maritimo, desert, CD National, Vitoria, FCP...n now Trab! he will be on the move by this winter or next summer.
He apparently got offers from 2 other Tzrkish clubs and Werder Bremen but decided for Trabzonspor (Because Werder wanted a buy clause plus no loan fee).
Don't all international loans require a purchase option clause or is that only for loans to Germany and England?
Such a clause being required is news to me as well. Chelsea wouldn't be able to keep that huge army of loanees if they were to include purchase option clauses. Where is that actually a thing?
Nope. Almost all youth player loan agreements don't have buy option. It's up to the clubs what they put in the clause.
Lol. Apparently. Probs BS. The only source of the Werder Bremen move comes from a random blog, which says that FC Porto turned down a €15M buy clause .
The article on the blog says Werder Bremen offered €15M, which sounds like utter BS in the first place, and that FC Porto also turned it down .
probably BS. clubs decide on the matter of buy clause, not the player (even if he has the ultimate power to veto the contract at the end). while the thought of Suk playing with Kruse is tantalizing.. he joined Trabzonspor because they offered loan fee to Porto, higher wage, and better chance to start every game.
What blog are you talking about? I was refering to this article and there's no mention about that 15m... http://m.sports.naver.com/rio2016/news/read.nhn?oid=277&aid=0003806926 But anyway, you are probably right.
So there's not an explicit buy option but as earlier discussed, Trabzonspor will have right to match any buy offer for suk next season. http://www.trthaber.com/haber/spor/trabzonspor-hyun-jun-suk-ile-anlasti-265642.html
Trabzonspor isn't really a bad team imo. They're usually just behind the top 3. They did bad last season but if he helps them to earn a Europa league spot, I wouldn't mind him staying another extra season. Then he'll be match fit and set for the WC. If he does well in the WC then he can move to bigger things (if we medal).
