Hi, I just moved to Colorado am going to be attending my first Rapids game with my family on Saturday evening.

We're planning to tailgate, but having never been to the stadium.

Anybody have suggestions on which parking lot/area we should choose? I'm guessing the 100 degree weather will make the parking lots pretty hot--are there any lots that have grassy areas around them that we can use?

    Thanks and Go Rapids!

Completely off topic, but that is the greatest unintentionally hilarious username I've ever seen.

Not really but Illbeats' bus ought to throw a shadow ... oh, wait, never mind.

Also "Just moved to Colorado", "FC..." , anyone else think it could be a bad sign when the coach starts to tailgate? ;>)

Just kidding and BTW Rapids FC might not be a bad 're-branding' for the new SSS. FC Rapids would be a little too warmed-over Burn-ish. I know you probably mean football club but Rapids FC: Football Colorado! seems to 'ring' nicely.

    Colorado, Where Lege
Bring a popup tent with a "mister hose" installed around it, and you'll be the hit of the parking lot.

The FC is actually for Fort Collins but I thought it worked pretty well with the double meaning...

The main lot to the South of the stadium (C or B I think) has a nice area on the west side at the base of a hill that is good for backing your car up to and tailgaiting on.

I think you are missing the triple meaning....at first glance I read it as "F Crapids".

That's the one I saw too.

As for possible rebranding when the SSS opens, I was thinking about Denver Rapids FC. It's almost as long as CD Chivas USA, but cooler

Actually its more like a quadruple meaning.

    FC = Fernando Clavijo

The name is certainly deserving of rep.

Lot C is where people usually tailgate, heck that lot doesn't even completely fill up usually.

    SC, SC, SC!

    We're not a football club, we're a soccer club. :)

    Thanks for letting me rant.

No Denver Rapids! You don't even live in Denver, how could they possibly represent you then? Seriously, I much prefer Colorado to be our geographic indicator.
