I see Cevallos, Montezuma (currently injured but one of the best players at the Copa Naciones) and Naula (who apparently is attracting the interest of big teams in Ecuador as well as some in teams Europe) making it out of this squad with good futures ahead of them. Tello, Casquete, Estupinan, and Periera look amazing as well maybe 1-2 of these guys will progress along with the first 3 imo. hopefully i didn't jinx it for our future stars :D

I can see Zubeldia promoting Abel Casquete for the segunda Etapa. There's a reason behind why he doesn't sign any more foreigners in attacking positions or the midfield. If I know Zubeldia any better, he isn't signing anyone b/c he knows there's talent coming up that he can promote. I think we'll see this kid later this year and latest early 2016 playing as a juvenil.

We face Uruguay today and while both teams are qualified and are most likely to rest players they'll play the draw. Come next round i think our hardest games will be against Uruguay (full strength), and Paraguay. Chile/Argentina don't worry me we've beat them both convincingly and dominated the match. Brazil, and Colombia are don't look that strong but shouldn't be taken lightly but i think we have the offensive to break down their defenses, and the defenses to stop them offensively.

Eight starters from the last match are on the bench tonight. Naula is starting. Hopefully he terrorizes the Uruguayos.

I've watch most of the matches from the U17 this tournament. I gotta say these kids are fantastic. I have honestly never seen kids with so much talent play on the Ecuadorian NT so young. Their passing and scheme is great. They don't blast the ball everywhere and they pass like European teams. They build plays like European teams do. This team is also coach extremely well. The future look really bright and I really hope these kids win it all.

Sounds like they had a heck of a game too bad i had a late night class so i couldn't watch :( i think this was a huge win for Ecuador, Uruguay were one of the top 3 teams in this tournament (us and Paraguay being the other). Our next opponent Brazil shouldn't pose a threat, then we face the hosts Paraguay in what is surely to be a great match. Which then leaves us with Colombia who like Brazil shouldn't pose a threat and an Argentinian side which we dominated in the first game. Looks like we'll be heading to the U-17 world cup

Our best players, Abel Casquete and Washington Corozo will be out of the line up vs. Brazil on Friday.
Both received their second yellow in the Uruguay game. :(

We dominated them the entire game and deserved the victory, BUT we did get lucky because Uruguay had a goal disallowed for offsides, which to me looked like it was a bad call. Gotta step it up a notch against Brazil.

It'd be cool if players came up with another celebration like the finger. The heart is just gay.

First highlight is an awesome piece of skill by Tello, taking out 3 Uruguayos in a row.
