The tournament, which will be held in Uruguay this time, is important because it grants slots to the 2016 Olympics as well as the 2015 U-20 World Cup ---- The best team (excluding Brazil) will qualify to the Olympics. The runner-up/second best team will play a playoff against a CONCACAF representative, with the winner getting a spot in the Rio de Janeiro Olympics as well... The top 4 teams will be granted spots in the U-20 World Cup to be played 4 months later in New Zealand. List of players called up: We begin our trek in the first stage by playing for the most part every 2 days (January 14-22) vs. Ecuador, Paraguay, Peru, and Bolivia -- the other teams in Group A. The top 3 teams then advance to the final stage, where the qualifications to the cups are decided. After the disgrace that was the 2013 Sudamericano Sub-20, which saw Argentina knocked out in the first stage on home soil and therefore ineligible for the U-20 World Cup, we must reinforce our traditionally strong youth NT history... although its never good to have Humberto Grondona in charge of your team.
