On the other hand Colombia scored just 2 goals. I'm not so sure they will qualify.

I think Venezuela, Ecuador and Uruguay will qualify and the last place is between the other 3.

Venezuela were in a worse situation, right after group phase (2017): 1 goal in favor, 1 goal against.

It becomes a different tourney during the hexagonal phase.

Interestingly enough, the *home team factor* is ruled out for 2019.

Hexagonal phase is played since 1997. Only twice between 1997 and today, did the home team manage to miss the final-6 round: Peru 2011, Argentina 2013.

Data on the U-20 World Cup qualification, since the introduction of the final hexagonal in 1997:

    - 3 times the host did not qualify to the hexagonal: PER 2011, ARG 2013, CHI 2019.
    - 2 times a group leader did not qualify to the World Cup: COL in 2007, PER in 2013.
    - Points of the 4th and 5th place in each hexagonal:

Year Pts 4th Pts 5th Notes

    1997 - 6 URU - 4 VEN
    1999 - 6 PAR - 5 PER
    2001 - 5 CHI - 4 ECU
    2003 - 7 COL - 4 URU
    2005 - 5 CHI - 5 URU Goal differential: -1 and -3
    2007 - 6 CHI - 6 PAR Goal differential: +4 and -2
    2009 - 7 VEN - 6 COL
2011 - 8 ECU - 3 CHI COL was classified as a World Cup host, took 1 point
    2013 - 7 CHI - 5 PER
    2015 - 7 BRA - 3 PER
    2017 - 7 ARG - 6 BRA

So 7 is the magic number!!!

At least have the common courtesy of quoting whence you got those stats:
    https://todofutbolnet.mforos.com/46...ericano-amistosos-mundial-etc-parte-6/?pag=28

Better go and apologize to my buddy on that Venezuelan soccer forum, for pulling that stunt with his statistical content.

Hopefully this is only your mistake, and not common practice among Venezuelans.

Cool story bro. You're such a friend of my Venezuelan pal that you went over there and attacked him, just because I exposed your practices over here on BigSoccer. I am glad my buddy set you straight over there: don't post their content as your own.

Palante said that Venezuelan soccer forum struggles to build up readership, and here you come swiping their content.

My bro already has to deal with other plagiarists over there, who appropriate content to rack up *likes* on Facebook.

I suggest you take the L on this one. Be more supportive of your own Venezuelan soccer peers, name their online community if you use their content.

Who knows? That might create an exchange between both soccer forums. We would certainly welcome more Venezuelan posters over on BigSoccer.

@condor11 please let me know if I overstepped any boundaries.

Back to the original theme, the second set of matches will be played tomorrow:

    ARG-COL
    ECU-URU
    VEN-BRA

High hopes for Ecuador. They might have what it takes to win the title.

A didnt attacked him, i attaked YOU... You are the "fan enamorada", not him...
Information is free... there is no copyright about that information... He even took that information from other official sources (as i said before, easy to get).
Uhhhh??? I have 8 years in this forum, while like 10 in that other forum... Can you read all my posts here? Please ;)
Many of them have accounts here, but they do not like this forum, they dont like how people easily uses the word "Veneco" and nothing happen... They have accounts here, but they wont participate here because of moderation!

Not so many hopes about this game (As Venezuelan)

It isn't a different tournament, way more often than not the teams play the same or very similar as they did in group stage. As the stats shown above tell, there is a big historical correlation between performance in first round and hexagonal.

And so is Colombia doing... The same goal-scoring drought they had keeps going on. Now they are in a complex situation, almost out of the world cup I would say.

Buen juego de Venezuela hoy, nuevamente sin tener la pelota dominó el partido de cabo a rabo... Hurtado magistral...

Para resaltar: Rodrygo y Emerson PAR DE ASESINOS HIJOS DE PUTA!

Dude, so many things wrong with that post...

    1. Admission of using homophobic taunts when exposed for plagiarism.

    2. It is OK to appropriate things as yours, as long as they can be created from public material. Classy.

    3. Forum age does not excuse you from being considerate with your fellow countrymen.

    4. First you said that 3 Venezuelans have accounts on BigSoccer, now you say that many do. You even assure us of what those *many Venezuelan users* think about BigSoccer. ¿Do you have any proof?

    5. You criticize BigSoccer moderators about inaction. On other hand, one mod was lenient with you on a Peruvian sub-forum. You can see a similar pattern on a Colombian sub-forum.

    https://www.bigsoccer.com/threads/colombia-sub-20.2031155/page-30#post-37466270

    And...

Today, you take advantage of yesterday's awesome victory over Brazil to insult Brazilian athletes and their relatives.

I suggest that you stop while you are ahead.
Keep it clean and solely about sports.

Venezuelan internal joke... Nothing to do with "Homophobic taunts"... Its because of this...
    Fan Enamorada (open)

Appropiate it is just appropiate, not a rule or a law... Just "Politically correct"
3 Venezuelan people from this forum participate in that forum (Dinamo_11, Danilon_11 there and some dude from Israel that i do not remember the nickname here or there... And i am sure what they think about "moderation" in this forum... Many times we said to moderators to "moderate" the use of "Veneco" that is real offensive, and nothing happened!!!
    @SiempreCrema

It is only being politically correct, even though it does not moderate the use of the word "Veneco"
To keep it clean and clear, and solely about sports:

    https://as.com/futbol/2019/02/02/videos/1549096288_191900.html?omnil=mod-act

I took advantage of that punctual action of Rodrygo (and another punctual Emerson's action) ... Unsportsmanlike moves and with clear intention to break the rival ... That's why I say that Rodrygo is a murderous son of a bitch, not for the victory as such, but for his behavior on the field and only talking about an unsportsmanlike action in a sports tournament.

I said nothing about Nico Díaz is "muerto de hambre", even said those are football things, but this??? This is real bad, this is unsportsmanlike, this is an action worthy of a murderer son of a bitch!

    Anything else?

P.D.: Argumentum Ad Hominem does not work with people like me, so i suggest you not to use it, believe me ;)

True, I was looking exclusively at 2017 results. VEN opened up attack during the final phase, ARG+COL suffered to score on the latter phase.

There is also the detail of hexagonal schedule boing tilted in favor of group results, so that would reinforce such historical correlation.

Yes, friendly advice: please stop defending what clearly are examples of unacceptable behavior.

Homophobia, plagiarism, disdain for work made by your fellow countrymen, derogatory comments about youth players' relatives.

We are ready to talk about field action at the Sudamericano Sub-20 whenever you are. Please do it responsibly.

1.- I am gay, so stop with your bullshit about homophobia (Argumentum Ad Hominem).

2.- Plagiarism happens when there are copyrights, as i said before, you can get that information from Wikipedia, people many times used my information in that forum to post it in ForosPeru, and nothing happened, so much drama about this.

3.- Derogatory comments about a youth player that tried to break the rival, every latinamerican people knows what "hijo de puta" means, so dont take it so literally, im even sure you know what it means and it have nothing to do with his mother, it is about him and his behavior on the field.

4.- We, You and me, we know what is the problem here, and have nothing to do with sports, so if you wanna talk about it, I invite You to TodoFutbolNet and talk about Maduro whatever you want, not here ;)

5.- Stop with the argumentum ad hominem, ataca el argumento, no al interlocutor, be serious!

6.- I am not your friend!

    haha... whoops! I wasn't trolling, I swear. :)

The 2017 u-20 WC was the first one in a while that I didn't really follow much at all. Largely due to the games being played in the middle of the night for me and in May when there is so much other football to watch.

Cool story bro. Sexuality is irrelevant here, admission to making homophobic taunts on the other hand...

Lastly, plagiarism is not the same as copyright infringement. Simply, stealing other people's work is plagiarism.
    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Plagiarism#Legal_aspects

Just be more considerate of work made by your Venezuelan peers and cite their content, current times are bad enough as they are.

Let us drop this discussion and focus instead on today's matches.

I see all draws for today, with the exception of ECU-COL.
