Bradley bashers can have nothing else to say. I'm sure they will continue to insist that the US continuing to set new milestones is "in spite of the coach", but first final in a Fifa tournament, finished first in qualifying, first time first place in a World Cup group, continue to come from behind in games, first points in a third game of a World Cup, etc. If you aren't converted by now, you should switch and cheer for Brazil because no coach is ever going to be good enough. When we beat Spain and were up 2-0 on Brazil, everyone said it's a fluke wait for the real games, etc. Well the real games are here and we should have won our last game 3-2 and this game 2-0 without an assist from the refs. After subjecting us to the Bradley bashing for the last 4 years - I'm hoping that most of you will step up and volunteer for the crow sandwich, but at minimum, we can only hope you'll give it a rest for a while but I won't hold my breath. Bradley's not perfect, but neither is our team - and he's proven he's the right coach at the right time, regardless of how our next game turns out.
The referees in two matches made a last gasp winner necessary - but we should have already been safe.
If they had went out I do not think this would have been a disgrace. Two goals called back that should have been goals would have been the difference.
Won CONCACAF qualifying. Won Gold Cup First ever FIFA final at Confederations Cup First US team to win their group at World Cup since 1930. Just curious where that ranks among out coaches.
So... We won a gold cup, finished 2nd in another, finished 2nd in the confederations cup, won our confederation in qualification, and won a world cup group for the first time in 80 years, and currently sit one win away from equalling our best result at the finals in those same 80 years. Just think what we could do if we had a good coach, I guess...
I wasn't the biggest Bradley supporter But he has done an outstanding Job the last 2 years. Well Done BB.
The English announcer here was all about praise for Bob because of the subs he was making and continuing to have his guys push forward looking for the goal. Good job Bradley.
This too. We won the group with 5 points, but we should have had 7. We beat Slovenia 3-2, and we beat Algeria 2-0.
The U.S. got robbed an outright victory against Slovenia and were robbed yet another goal again today against Algeria. Had the U.S. not won today, I would hope that those who watched the games appreciated the difference between blatantly bad calls costing us games vs. poor coaching. The former could hardly be BB's fault. As it is, we emerge as the winners of Group C. Had our guys been given the points they deserved (for win over Slovenia) and the two disallowed goals, the U.S. would stand out as the class of Group C. The final positions look more even, but I'll take it. Coming out on top of Group C is not something anyone had predicted of the U.S. BB has been criticized by many for poor substitutions. Both the timing and the personnel decisions left lots of doubts. These last three months, his decisions have been exceptional. This tells us that he was mature enough as a coach to accept his weakness and work on it. That has made him a better coach. As a result, the U.S. is a better team. He deserves a lot of credit. Here is where I get to repeat what I have said many times before: I remain firmly in the camp of Bob Bradley supporters.
Fire Bob Bradley and bring in Raymond Domenech..... ...... Just kidding, just kidding! Thanks Bob Bradley & team.
I've had faith in Bob all along. He may not be a world-class, foreign coach (like, lets say Fabio Capello, who barely got England out of this group, with a team of very talented players ) but Bob Bradley has instilled confidence and strength in this team. I can guarantee you no team in the tournament wants to play us right now. We are never beaten, and can create chances on the break as well as through build-up play ( not as much as I would like though ). Well Done Bob , now let's get to the quarterfinals !
I think the biggest difference between BB and a lot of the big name foreign coaches comes down to a simple fact: they enjoy playing for the guy and they respect the hell out of him.
I'll admit I was skeptical when Bob was hired, but somewhere in the last few years I've accepted him as a pretty good coach. When you look at the talent this team has, I don't think you can argue with Bob's results. This team has either played at or above its talent level. I don't think you can ask for anything more from a coach. Well done, Bob. Well done.
I do wonder: When did he become Captain Quicksub? They worked ,too. Remember to remain vigilant agianst passive agressive threads started by the usual suspects using obscure references to prove their case about a Bradley's incompetence.
You weren't by any chance thinking of these guys, were you? There's this winner: https://www.bigsoccer.com/forum/showpost.php?p=21019793&postcount=9 I dont(want the US to advance out of Group C) bc I want a new coach I hate Bob Bradley want him gone right now And who can forget this guy on the same thread? https://www.bigsoccer.com/forum/showpost.php?p=21028305&postcount=62 You're telling me that with all the money we have, Bob (********ing) Bradley is the best we can do? Lets get out the orange slices and koolaid while we are at it. While you guys cheer on this hapless organization, I demand something better. First of all, a quality coach would be nice. Why should I take the USSF seriously if they don't care? The corruption and ineptitude that runs rampant through our organization is something I refuse to support and I will not anymore. Bob was the last straw. If the US lucks through another couple games and we make the round of 16 or (disastrously) the quarter-finals, we might be stuck with Bob for another cycle and that means I can't be a "fan" for another 4 years. . . . . If you guys are happy with mediocrity and the old boys club then good luck but I don't want any part of it.
