Do people still play subbuteo. I remember playing it when i was 5 and then never seeing it in shops or peoples houses ever again. You go ocasinonaly see Subbuteo sets on the antiques roadshow like.
You're in England, right? Subbuteo is alive and kicking especially in Europe but it's not really sold in shops anymore...only on the Internet. At least, that's where to find equipment and stuff that will make the players work well. The basic Hasbro set that's out there now is just complete crap. http://www.fistf.info is the official site of the FIFA of the sport, FISTF. i think computer games like ISS and FIFA has put a death to subbuteo but if this is what floats your boat.
As much as I enjoy FIFA, and I love playing it ... give me a good Subbuteo gathering anyday and I'm there. Ed

hey Lenny, Nah, playing the locals this time. Too much going on around here for the travel. Coaching, working, blah blah. I'll need some luck. I have been playing better, then screwed up in the cup match last weekend. I'm pissed about it still. Only team in group with positive goal differential, gave up two soft goals, and was out.
Or... Subbuteo...the game that I'd love to play, but everybody else bailed on me this week. (Sorry, I just got the news there'd be no league night this week. I was really looking forward to it. Oh well.)

My wife's sister should officially be a West Hartford resident in a month....so I'm looking forward to many 'family' visits in CT soon! It's being held the same weekend as last year....around St. Patty's day. There were six players last year. This year should be double. I'll let you decide if the trophy is a keeper or not when you see it....
