There was speculation that Mexico might move a qualifier to LA in another thread. Now, I don't think this would ever happen, but is there a rule saying you have to play your qualifiers in your home country? Could the US put a qualifier in London if it wanted?
Some countries like St Kitts and Dominica just played their home qualifiers in the US, but this was because they didn't have a stadium acceptable to FIFA, not because they didn't want to play at home.
That is a really dumb idea and I don't see why anyone would suggest it to be truth. Why would Mexico move games to the US when we've never beaten in Mexico? WCQ vs. Mexico Away: 0-11-1
I believe it was suggested their could be a bigger payday than staying at home. But, as I said, I don't think it will ever happen. I just wonder if it's allowed.
They wouldn't move their home game vs. the US to the US...if they moved any game it'd probably be the Panama or Trinidad match.
