Hold up. Does this apply to all food or are you just applying this to wings? Ribs, BBQ, Mexican dishes, etc., as well? What about no-hands pie eating contests? Are you against those as well?
Pretty much. I would never do a no hands pie eating contest. Never. Wings no. Ribs no. Mexican dishes are just fine. I've always used a fork for those. I just really don't like getting food on my face. That much effort should not be needed to get deliciousness in your mouth. That's what she said and what pulled pork sandwiches are for.
This is getting worse Next you’re gonna tell me a chicken nugget is better tasting than a wing because of the method of delivery do you feel the same about shelled seafood?
I almost died in one of these in college. It was a two-person team event during Homecoming week. Me in a char, arms tied to the chair; blindfolded partner standing behind me and feeding me the pie. And he was very, very good at feeding me the pie, to the extent that pie clogged my nose and throat and it was still coming. And it kept coming. On the verge of passing out and panicking, I bit my partner's hand and then again, and he pulled it away, giving me a chance to projectile some of that stuff back out. So yes, I am against no-hands pie eating contests.
I hear you on this and respect it. At some point you gotta just accept a price is what it is if the event is non negotiable. As the saying goes, I’ve never seen a hearse with a luggage rack Memories are priceless… which is kinda what fifa is counting on here That said, fifa is playing within the rules of this countries version of capitalism. If we have a problem with it, go to the root cause
It's actually not that bad. I do have a 29 year old son that I should buy the t-shirt that says, "I'll have the chicken nuggets." lol I am not a seafood guy but I do love sushi. I have had some delicious Mackinaw trout right off Flat Head lake in Montana but generally I am just not a fish guy. I will try the Salmon and Halibut when my wife gets it and try to grill it up nice for her but I just don't have the pallet for fish. I tried some oysters and that was a no go. In the early days of the Sundance film festival, like in 1986-87 or so, I tried some caviar and that was absolutely awful. It's like smelling fish from the inside of your mouth. Gross. I was a bit pickier but I have started trying to eat more like an adult. No reason. I do love a good salad bar, that's for sure. A lot of TMI but I am not a chicken nugget eater. At all. I just don't like sloppy food on my face or don't like nibbling around for some flavor. It pisses me off more than just about anything. Just the thought of slimy sauce across my face makes me mad.
This is great. I was worried I might cause a fuss by obliquely referencing Trump's immigration policies. Glad I didn't mention my personal food nemesis. Chewing gum should be banned from polite society...and impolite society.
I mean being in a char sounds worse that the pie eating contest. Hopefully you were smokey and had a good bark.

Oh my goodness! Mascherano is out as coach in Miami!!! I have a feeling that there is a Chicho-esque quality about this sudden departure? It could also be a blowup between him and Messi/ownership? He did get ejected from a game a few weeks back. Possibly he's upset at not getting what he wants from the club? TBD...
Well I'm sure Javi will be welcome when he comes to town next week. He might even leave with a win. Edit: rather surprised he's not getting a chance at interim coach. The sporting director is taking over for now apparently.
Word is the whole coaching staff is going with him, which would mean no Javi here next week. Lots is still unfolding about this though.
The new manager is Guillermo Hoyos. He’s been close to Messi since Messi was at Barcelona’s youth academy. Hoyos was on the academy’s staff at the time.
The Internet Miami announcement said that the assistants who “joined the staff in 2025” are leaving. Javi joined the coaching staff in 2023 so I’m not sure he is leaving. https://www.intermiamicf.com/news/head-coach-javier-mascherano-departs-inter-miami-cf
The Technical Staff page on the team website has nothing on it, so there's no way to know. But I would think if he stayed, he'd be a good candidate for interim coach (which he isn't). Wild stuff.
Tottenham are in a do-or-die situation tomorrow. Currently in the relegation zone and 2 points behind West Ham. It’s crazy to see them on the verge of relegation. The financial consequences of them getting relegated are wild as well.
If they go down and Arsenal lose the title… chefs kiss Especially if Chelsea miss champions league too. All three clubs are a mess and deserving of some humble pie
Agreed. Although, as a Man U fan I’m not too keen on seeing City lift the trophy again. An architect I’m working with is a huge Spurs fan. He made the trip to England last fall and was able to see a home Spurs game. Their season has been a bit of a sore subject.
