that's not weird. I knew a kid in elementary school who ate peanut butter, pickle and american cheese sandwiches.
Ikizukuri - it's when the sushi master takes a fish out of the tank and cuts it up right in front of you. It's till twitching when you're eating it - if you can get over that, it is DAMN good.
There's only one thing I want twitching when I'm eating it but that's a subject for another thread. The weirdest thing I've eaten is aligator.
That's not weird, that's tasty! Venison heart, hot tongue sandwiches, fried rabbit, pig's stomach.... A Kenyan student at one of the nearby colleges made us a delicious meal ,Damned if I can remember the main dishes, but they were accompanied by a nice warm flatbread.
Yeah, basically the bread served as a plate, although we did use our china, after all-company.... There was a bean dish that I remember was quite good.
The weirdest thing I've eaten??? take your pick: iguana eggs, iguana sandwiches (yeah a friend of mine owns a farm!!!), rabbit, armadillo, snake or raindeer. Ohh and still alive oysters and curiles ermmm I forgot the name in english maybe later I'll remember!
Hmmmm, strangest food while hanging with marry... That would have to be Gyro's with cheetoes, but the cheetoes are in the Gyro, ya know, for crunch, and everything is better with cheetoes. I think it goes without saying that puffs just will not do in this situation.
Mario.... I had an iguana as a pet. Shame on you. While I was in Swaziland, I have the choice of impalas or warthog. I chose warthogs....
lol well EG, I figured out there were a couple of posters that could have them but I didnt pretend to harm susceptibilities.
Oh,BTW,we're all clear that you really shouldn't eat when you're stoned ,as it's a bit of a buzzkill....?
Durian supposes to be addictive.... which I do not get.... I did fool a guy in a Vietnamese restaurant to order durian juice. he ended up liking the juice... I then tried it myself. It was very good until I tried the fruit.
It looks like this: It's a tropical fruit about the size of a coconut, but has big spikes on the rind, and is slightly green in color on the outside. It grows on great big trees. It breaks into wedge shaped sections, each containing a large dark seed, around which is pale yellow meat. The smell is like a mixture of some kind of sweet brandy and rotten onion. It's taste is much the same, but not quite so bad--very sweet and with a little bit of punch, like alcohol. Most airlines and hotels won't let it in with it. People usually either love it or hate it. The only way I was able to stomach it was by eating it with globs of sticky black rice. edit: Hey! I thought images didn't work here?
