Hofstra wins 3-0. This game was quite frustrating. Thing looked quite even for awhile but Hofstra just finished a lot better. When it was 1-0 late in the second half, Stony Brook had a goal called back because of an offsides. The ref was clearly blind. The player was clearly behind the Hofstra defender. For the first half, Stony Brook tried the long ball approach but wasn't as effective. Stony Brook then played the ground game in the second half, which looked a lot better for them. Dan Ferrin is back in the lineup. He returned the game before today's. Ferrin had several outstanding saves but it all went to waste. Quite funny how Ferrin is winless on the season but the backup happens to have the only two wins for Stony Brook. I wonder if this has to do with the way they organize the defense.
