He has been so much more effective at blocking crosses than Shaw. He & Dalot the other side clearly focussing on it and the whole defensive unit celebrating and hi5ing is good to see and has been such a positive change giving our CBs more protection.
The most important thing for me is his urgency both in defense and attack. Shaw is a better overall player but he lacks the most important thing that is urgency. He is too nonchalant.
Shaw is pants, let him warm the bench and hopefully fernandez will be ready to be a backup in year or 2.
