    Text of an e-mail sent to MLS Commissioners Office, I invite everyone to follow suit;

    C'mon MLS,

Now it's not really important enough for me to write about but forcing coaches (and by extension, our Ray) to give up the uniform for business casual seems unnecessary and more than a little meddling.

Working in DC I get to see the extremes of workplaces that put form over substance and while not as bad as the federal govt. this certainly smacks of that type thinking. I for one appreciate a coach who still thinks of himself as part of the game and part of the team. And I certainly think Ray looks much better in his kit than other league coaches do in their polos and slacks.

Let Ray have his boots, let MLS get back to the important work, and let me enjoy the thought that at least one of us DC managment types gets to wear their cleats and shorts to work.

Thanks for your time and keep up the good work,

So is MLS becoming the little NFL and telling coaches what to wear so they can try to sell more polos?

I'd like MLS to be more like the NFL in marketing effectiveness, not in making stupid rules (although a rule banning Sigi from wearing a uniform might be a good thing).

Sent mine in - Ray f&^kin' rocks!

Nobody should have to dress a certain way in MLS, that's crap. If he's too goofy, they players will fix him!

Great job cracking down on the dress code this week. I thought
Ray Hudson in Hawaii Five-0 slacks looked exponentially better
than he did wearing shorts and boots. I would like to take it a
step further in the spirit of uniformity and request that coaches
be facial hair free and have hair length below the collar.

Finally, all divers should be made to wear speedos, which would
    make Carlos Ruiz funnier looking.

    Cheers,

I am personally hoping that the cream-colored leisure pants were only the first round in Ray's continually evolving and intensifying protest against this ridiculous rule.

People in coats and ties look like asses sitting on the sidelines at RFK in the summer.

Maybe all of us should wear shirts and ties, of course dresses for the ladies, in solidarity for Ray.

Personally I find Sigi's beer gut far more offensive then anything Ray could wear... (well barring a United thong :D )

One game in shirts and ties and shorts would be pretty funny.

That may work for you out on the islands but it is getting a little too cold for speedos around here. ;)
