Have we had any event this year for STHs? I know, sometimes they end up being sort of lame, but I enjoy them all the same. The meet and greet the Dynamo player sort of things that we've had since 2006. I don't think we've done anything this year have we? It seems like last year there was food, drinks and Dynamo players after the last game of the year, it was fun. But the last game is two weeks away and I haven't heard of anything happening. And waiting till the last regular season game, with playoff hopes at stake, could have some unexpected, unpleasant pitfalls (don't even want to go there. ) So, has anybody heard anything? Maybe the FO is so busy selling season tix for next year they have forgotten about us this year. Have we gotten a STHs gift this year? I'm not complaining, just wondering.....
I actually thought the gift was the occasion to call the poison control center or the fire marshall for the toxic chemicals likely involved in the manufacture of the cheap scarf
I wasn't sure if the scarf was this year or last year. I guess it was this year, so that would be our gift. But we still haven't had a STH's event....
I'm not sure, last year was the event after the Seattle game with food and a band and the Dynamo girls dancing and the Dynamo players on the stage. I can't remember if that q/a with Oduro, when they argued about who was the fastest on the team, was also last year or if it was the year before.... And the stadium is next year. I want something this year!
I think the STH event this season was digging through our couch cushions for any loose change which was to be given to AEG to get us our first bonafide DP.

They took some and cashed them in to pay for Canetti's trip to London for the world soccer club summit, where he rubbed elbows with many of the the world's biggest clubs and told them how he was able to get the team a no-fee TV contract with a channel that most folks can't get a signal for
Ok, the regular season has come and gone and we never had a STH's event. I remember we were at a reserves game one Sunday (the day Camargo joined the team) and somebody noticed on the calendar there was an event scheduled that week, but it conflicted with something else.... I think with their travel, but I forget. He texted the f.o. And they replied that it was a mistake. So this is the first year we haven't had any special event during the season for STHs? I really enjoy the get togethers, the question and answers, those things. Last year's was a blast, good food, music, all the players, and I remember Dom and the guys apologizing for the bad season and promising we would have a better one this year. If we have to trade a STHs event for a trip to MLS Cup, I'm willing to sacrifice.
some STH gift for renewing early or something. I think we had a choice of like 10 things, from this gift card to a visa gift card, to signed ball, to a scarf and bunch of other things.
I thought our "event" was the meet the players game against HBU. That day was so cold I didn't stick around after it ended.
It was against SMU. I remember because the goalkeeper's mother was next to me. She heard me praise him and blushed. SMU had just played FC Frisco, and I remember it being freezing. If I remember correctly there was a Bruin hat trick. That also marked the first time some of us heard rumblings about a friendly against Bolton.
Yeah it was super windy and Bruin did get the hat trick. We also had a few trialist. Puerto Ricans or something. They sold those promised unsigned balls and used jerseys in the gym too.
Yea but that is a different deal, the preseason fire sale and game for STHs. But we always have something during the season, or at the end.
You're living the event it's.....MOFFATMANIA!!!!!!!! Seriously though, I think they've abandoned this season and are concentrating on next season. The playoffs just turned out to be a pleasant surprise for them. Icing on the cake if you will.
