Why would this players would want to play for a mediocre league like MLS? Many of these players can play in Europe.
Its one thing to be able to play in Europe Its another thing to actually have a EU club come after you and offer your club a resonable deal for transfer. Getting to train in with EU clubs does not count.

In this case it was probably to prevent ChivasUSA from getting him first, which for some odd reason AEG thought would have been a coup.
For much that I hate LDA and Saprissa, there is no question that both MLS teams will be crushed next CCC games. Just like it has happened during the last 4 years.

I haven´t seen Guima´s interview and to my opinion is surprising because he usually never speaks that way. The press here hasn´t informed anything about it. However it´s nothing personal against the USA, but MLS is mediocre, if you don´t accept it is your problem. It is short, boring, players belong to MLS and not to the teams, and there is no relegation. I personally don´t like top costarrican players to play there.
