Possibly some kinda Liverpool sponsorship agreement with Reebok that prevents Gerrard from anything having a Adidas logo on, I think.
I thought it might have just been my eyes. But they actually look quite smart with the plain tongue. appleCORR
no he just has them done that way, liverpools reebok deal allows for personal sponsors logos to be displayed on boots
I've noticed that on Michael Carrick's boots before, whilst he was at West Ham he had a pair of black manias with no badge in the tongue, sorry no pics. This was mainly directed at applecorr and any other british guys as I don't know if any body else would have heard of him! (Sorry if that sounded a bit rude!) P.S - I've sent quite a few posts recently, but I still don't know how to make my own post. Any help would be appreciated. Cheers.
Yeah, I think Carrick was supposed to be one of Adidas' top ad athletes a couple of years back, like when he was 18 at West Ham. Try 'New thread' at the Equipment forum main page.
I just think its strange if you have a boot sponsor surely they would want you to have the logo on the tongue. I think they actually look good without the logo though. Especially the red ones. But yeah i remember seeing that on Carricks boots the other season. appleCORR
stevie normally gets number 17 in big numbers on the tounge no stripes or name just that so maybe there just his training pair with no embroidery..
