An article written like the author was there? Memo to Ken Wright, that is what a well written article reads like.

    Thanks for the link Lowecifer!

    Excellent article!

Thank you very much Mr. Long!

ps-To ask Mr. Wrong to write an article like that would be to ask pigs to fly. Althought I suppose Mr. Wrong did see pigs fly on Saturday!

I thought Faria was from Argentina, not Brasil.

    "still swift"

    CWeed,

I struggled with that one myself. In lieu of an epistle on his loss of an already feeble touch, I decided that he was still faster than those he replaced. I suppose that "swift" still applies to him when at full flight.

    Re: "still swift"

Well, when you look at it that way it does make some sense..

What irks me though are announcers who do MLS games still refer to him as "blazing" or "extremely quick" when it is obvious to anyone with a soccer brain that his one and only skill has deserted him...

Good article Steve, though a little too flowery with the adjectives.... :p

    Keep up the good work....

Just to continue the Rocket Roy segue, Shep made a comment about the guy that made my hair stand on end. He basically said that the difference in the Lassiter of today and the great goal scorer of the 90's (does that age you?) is that he has lost his touch.

Think about that one for a bit.

i am not sure if that ages me more or the fact I recall great goal scorers of the 70s scoring on Messing.

I thought that meant that Lassiter was swift to stand still.

    No?
