He's a Butler Grad, so being from Indy I am naturally inclined to follow him a bit...
Does he fit into Gansler's plans at all this year?

Apparently Armstrong would excell at the college level. He scored two goals in the Wizards 4-0 victory vs. SMU Wednesday night. Maybe Bob could forget about Dario "I'm going to point at my eye when you tell me to score" Fabrro, and use Armstrong as the substitute up top.

I don't think I'm the only one who is disappointed at the lack playing time Armstrong is receiving. I feel his ball skills are among the best on the team.

He's a fun player to watch and deserves a chance on the left-side of midfield. He can't do any worse than Chris Brown at that position.

Thats what I thought when I had seen your guys games on shootout. He can create a lot of problems for the opposing defense, he's a helluva versatile player comfortable up front or in midfield. Hell, before we got Garcia in Cbus i was talking up trade on our boards so we could put Armstrong in as a starter at left mid. But I am probably preaching to the choir here....

I just don't understand everyones infatuation with Armstrong. He had a good beginning of the season last year then sputtered out. I like Deigo on the left and I don't see any problem with our offense.

Just like Chris Brown does every year?

You won't hear me talking up Brown, but it is clear that he is the #3 forward on the team. Anyway, this thread is about an SI who is sitting fairly deep on the pine.

Well he's a very skillful and imaginative player that's just sitting on the bench while players with fewer abilities get a chance to play. Its not like he is lazy or he doesn't care, so whats the hold up. At any position with the possible exception of right wing, he deserves to be ahead of Brown.

Plus, I think he can play in the middle if Gutierrez is going to stay on the left. Just baffles me why Quill was playing in the middle and not Armstrong if you're looking for a skill in the middle.

Yeah Matt, I dont think anyone thats on here calling for Armstrong to play is talking about left wing. I for one was talking about having Armstrong be the #3 forward and come in when Wolff or Igor come out.

That said, Klein is suffering yet again by not having a consistant threat on the outside left. Gutierrez is good, but I feel he's proving he can't be an offensive minded player. Klein needs a shaddow on the opposite side thats a thraet, whether it be Armstrong, Quill or an improved Gutierrez.
