She's a gotdamn champ. She's driving us up to Lake Erie so I can watch the Crew game in the passenger seat.
1) I posted the idea to FB where it seems to be a hit, but the "God bless y'all" and "Be safe going home, everybody" guy who sits under the tracks beside the stadium...his name is Randy and he collects money for a homeless shelter at his church. We gotta get him into a game and maybe even make him Match Ignitor or Hometown Hero. 2) On a different note, has anyone else noticed a lot of people wearing hoodies and jeans this summer? It's in the mid 80s today and I've already seen a number of people dressed like it's in the 50s. I can definitely understand people in business attire such as slacks and dress shirts, but if hoodies and jeans is a fashion trend this summer, I'm glad I'm missing out. It's too damn hot.
That design is pretty titts. @chr1st Can we turn this poll into Grouchy points? I'm on a roll and need to make up ground on sure things.
Who remembers the 2006 Columbus Crew season? https://www.statscrew.com/soccer/roster/t-CLB/y-2006 https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2006_Major_League_Soccer_season Well, I just read the Mindset List (or whatever it's called) for the Class of 2028. They were born in 2006. Time definitely flies.
I recall the first time that Mindset List noted "there has never been a Soviet Union". Joy! Edit--it was from 2010
I am happy this page does not exist. This period of time does not need to be memorialized. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2006_Columbus_Crew_season
Update and stolen from the Nordecke Facebook page: Following up on the past post regarding Randy who sits under the bridge on Nationwide during game-day. My husband and I had a lengthy conversation with Randy Jones. He refers to himself as, “Randy under the bridge”. Randy is appreciative of all the many offers to provide Crew tickets. His heart calls for him to give back to the unhoused community and spread positivity. That is what he prefers to continue to do. If you would like to donate to him, he takes everything!! Travel size toiletries/clothes/hand warmers are a few things he suggested. Randy is old school style boots on the ground and is trusted by the unhoused community he serves. He collects year round and is the go to guy for those who are in need in the arena and short north communities. Let’s show him how we support our Crew community and as you pass by on game days please be sure to say hello and if you have the opportunity to contribute to his cause, I will include his Cash app and Venmo so you can send it directly. Cash App : $mrlee7788 Venmo : @RJ1114 We will also have QR codes for monetary donations and collection bins if you want to bring anything to tailgate. We will make sure that it gets to Randy. https://www.facebook.com/share/p/L6c85bDMVPugA1yd/?mibextid=oFDknk
