Looking to offload some Crew gear I don’t wear anymore. All items are XL. Looking for maybe $30 each other than Nordecke and maybe $10 for that? Let me know if interested in any of this. We can also figure out delivery

When I go to Bennys in Marysville, they have Budweiser on draft, which is rare to find these days. And it’s cheap. They had the Clydesdales out there last summer. I find bud light very difficult to drink - basically essence of beer. Anyway, wrong thread and all that but Marysville has excellent pizza. 3 or 4 different solid places.

Benny's and Buckeye Family share a related history ( I think Buckeye is supposed to be the "original" Benny's recipe). I've heard good things about Leon's pizza, but haven't had it yet(normally eating other things there). What other's do you prefer in Marysville?

I'm sure everyone here remembers the #ForColumbus McDonald's jersey.

There were other designs that were considered, according to what I once heard.

Was this monstrosity one of them? This might be worse than the "tire tracks" jersey which was never worn. (It's a shame we never got to see the original 2002 black jerseys which were shipped with trim that was described as orange. They ended up using the previous black jerseys for the 2002 opener.)

I don't know, but I think this one is better than the "urine stain stripes" and blue shorts one that we actually wore.

So apparently the one I linked is the real original that was trashed at/near the 11th hour for the one we saw.

TBH, at least the other one is balanced on both sides.

    Take the kit we had.
Darken the yellow to a consistent shade.
Dump the red and blue and maybe make that yellow.
You'd probably end up with a halfway decent third jersey.

I think the powder blue shorts really amplified how bad the For Columbus jerseys were.

Agreed. For all the hate those jerseys got, that theme (I include the beanies and scarves) still gets seen in the stands.

The whole thing would have been a lot better if the shorts were white with yellow trim, similar to the 1998/1999 shorts.

    So here's an interesting rumor:

Apparently Michael Jackson was a Crew fan and wanted to come to MLS Cup 2008, but his doctors wouldn't allow it.

If anyone can confirm/deny this, please do.

Why does the Crew social media team always only reply in emojis? I know it is a very minor thing but it’s super annoying

Not to get to personal, and you're more than welcome to either not respond or respond in my DMs, but what age group are you in?

I ask this because I'm an 41 year-old elder millennial and I hadn't noticed that the Crew Social Admins only reply in emojis until the young Gen Zs started complaining about it, which I find hilarious.

I must confess: I sometimes tweet only emojis from the Nordecke account just to troll the youths.

Emojis are quick engagement that don't require much work or approval. The new Elon twitter algorithms entice brands and influences to engage a lot more with other users. My For You tab only has conversations and people who paid for Twitter. The team's socials are now curated depending on what app you are on. They don't post the same things anymore.

BTW, Emojis are out, speaking by creating a video where one points at subtitles is in.

Catching the end of the Daytona 500, heard the announcers reference "Pusherman by Steppenwolf".

Which might be cool except that everyone knows Curtis Mayfield did Pusherman. Steppenwolf did " The Pusher". I appreciate the effort but they should stick to country.
