2 goals for us this season, he helps on corners and set pieces. I think we can cut the guy a break after a rough start, we all forgave Keel pretty fast for his gold cup suckage last year.

Yeah, but Keel has the best hair on the team:p and on top of that he was rookie, Statue on the other hand is a veteran. I don't say he sucks----but he is inconsistent. Some days he's good, other days he makes mistakes that make him look horrible. In general he doesn't deal well with pace from the other team. I do agree however that he brings a psychological edge to the position.

Keel was 28/29 last season and with way more experience with American soccer than Holgersson. The hair though, there's no arguing that :D

Holgersson doesn't make as many mistakes as people seem to think, but when he does they are generally very glaring, whether its failing to clear the ball or getting beat in the open field. The subtle stuff like positioning he does pretty well, and of course he is quite strong in the air.

The Hulk is not a bad player tbh and he's much better than Keel. Keel got absolutely torched against NE and if Hulk put up that performance he would have gotten the axe by us.. Keel to me brings nothing to the table and he's just a decent option off the bench

But that being said I don't think it's ideal to rush him.. Have him ready to go against Chicago and I think Ruthven would be the best option against Seattle but knowing Backe he'll probably want that USL experience in Keel!

After NE I think we all would rather see Ruthven if it comes down to it.

I will not say that is a rookie, but at 65 against 190K salary is something to have in mind, Holgerslush has been making like 3/4 errors for game since he became RBNY and that is more than enough argument to sit the bum for life.....I mean, send him home in the first banana boat to live the Manhattan West Dock.....

But the funny thing is that he want to start, when we have:
    Barka....Marquez....Conde....Pearce
as a starters, who of this players he want to supplant.....

With the talent that Rafa has show at midfielder, will be a suicide and the end of the season.....and a waste of players like McCarty that will have to sit down to delight him self watching Rafa play just CRAP in his place....

I still think that Holgersson has improved as the season has gone on and when paired with a guy like Pearce or Conde he can play well. But you can't count on him to be a rock in the center of defense and he deserves a ton of criticism for his play this year.
