Im getting the same from Moreno, Vance and Trump. It’s not a Democrat-Republican thing, it’s a technology thing.
Can you imagine your soccer team texting: "We're going to lose! We always lose! Please purchase your season tickets now or we'll continue to lose!" I don't see how that could ever be successful. My response would be that I need a new soccer team and stat. Maybe I'm missing something?
The apocalyptic angle was about all Biden's team seemed able to produce. It really pissed me off. Biden's re-election campaign seemed incapable to touting its achievements, and banked it all on the argument that Trump would destroy democracy. Not that I disagreed with that assessment, but you need to give voters something to vote FOR, not just against (well, not so much for Trump, but historically, and for the Dems). Harris-Walz have done a solid job of telling voters what they're for. The messaging now about a hellish future under Trump is driven by two things: (1) it's both true and timely, considering his increasingly bizarre behavior and the increasingly obvious fascistic tone of his campaign, and (2) I believe that their internal research shows that this is an effective message for undecided voters and historical GOP voters who really don't like Trump.
I get these texts in large numbers also but they don't bother me. They are less intrusive than a phone call and they are easy to delete.
Do you guys not have spam folders for your crap texts to go into? Almost all of my political texts go into my spam folder. If one gets through, I hit "report spam". Here's the first lines of the texts in my spam folder: Meet Dan Osborn.... We're FAILING Jon Tester. Sam, I'm fuming!! Hi Sam, Sherrod here with some big news. Hi there, it's Hakeem Jeffries. Kamala HQ: Today is the day... Hey, it's Tammy Baldwin. I didn't realize I was on a first name basis with so many members of Congress. But it was James Carville who was fuming on behalf of Mary Peltola.
Thanks, I did not know this was an option! To filter messages from unknown senders and automatically move them to the Unknown Senders list, you can: Go to Settings Select Apps Select Messages Scroll down to Message Filtering Turn on Filter Unknown Senders
Same here. I help 30 folks with intellectual disabilities get and maintain jobs and coordinate their medical care. I answer every damn call, even ones tagged as potential spam.
I was gonna post this in GOP failure, but it is most definitely a win: Cruz slams outgoing McConnell as 'one-man dictator' after leader-aligned Super PAC abandoned him in tight race https://www.yahoo.com/news/cruz-slams-outgoing-mcconnell-one-181635673.html
…as opposed to being a two man dictator, I guess. Aaaaaaaall the Dems in NC are tying their opponent to Mark Robinson, or Michelle Morrow, and sometimes both. It makes me chuckle.
I got a text message last night from Cruz’s campaign, begging for money. What exactly would he do with $20 from me the night before the election? I mean, besides pocketing it.
It certainly didn’t state that as a reason but it would make sense. Unless the fine print stated he could use the donation to go to Cancun this winter.
We gave a final donation to Harris' campaign yesterday - we figure they can use it for lawyers against all the bullshit court cases Republicans will file over the next few weeks.
There were normally 2 consuls and you know how conservatives worship Rome. Cruz probably thinks the consuls were dictators despite the fact they were elected during the Roman Republic.
Right now it converts to roughly 400 pesos. He's probably planning a Cancun trip. I see stanger already beat me to this.
Has anyone called the NC governor’s race yet? Yeah, I know polls are open until 7:30, but c’mon. Mark Robinson was toast before we found out he liked to urinate on his sister in law’s anus before having anal sex with her while another woman, not his wife, was there. TBH it’s gonna be ********ing embarrassing because Robinson is gonna get like 38% of the vote, which is approximately 37.92% too high. Dude had to cut an ad about he and his wife’s decision to have an abortion. And he’s fanatically anti choice.
It strikes me as penny-wise/pound foolish. They squeeze the maximum out of regular donors while turning off occasional donors. Or maybe the other way around. Dunno. But it's tiresome.
