My team tied Botafogo-SP 1-1 and Hernan Crespo is now the manager. It's so weird seeing guys I rooted against so vehemently now managing your team. Time passes quickly and some unexpected things do happen.

Quanto ao meu time, um time argentino (who would have thought, considering the Brazil vs. Argentina rivalry) contribuiu para o fim do jejum de títulos.

JJ comes in => Flamengo wins first Libertadores since 80s (and a trebble)
Abel comes in => Palmeiras wins first Libertadores since 99 (and Copa do Brasil)
Crespo comes in => Sao Paulo wins first title in 9 years

    Técnicos Brasileiros .... ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Crespo looks like a good guy. Calm and collected so far. I like his attitude. Abel is a bit of a loose cannon and is getting annoying to be honest. It looks like he is trying to appear too much and promote his "brand". Trying to be one of those "character managers". Not to mention all he is doing is playing a slightly improved version of Scolari's tactical game.

Well.... Celso Roth in 2010, Muricy Ramalho in 2011, Tite in 2012, Cuca in 2013, Renato Portaluppi in 2017... our managers are not all that bad. But you're right that foreign managers have had a string of success lately.

Crespo has definitely won the team's trust and the fans' respect. We'll see what happens in the Libertadores and in the Brasileiro.

As for Abel, ups and down happen to all managers, and he did lead your team to 4 straight wins in the Libertadores group stage. I expect him to do a good job in the elimination rounds.

I didn't really notice Abel much last year, but he is sure running his mouth a lot this year and losing without class. This is the second times in the last month or so where I have seen him taking credit away from the winner. As an outsider, I feel like his attitude is running off on the team. JJ had some arrogance to him for sure. but it seemed to be more calculated than what Abel is doing.
