Well you all probably already know this but the Women's World Cup is officially coming back stateside.

Now is the time for all of us who have connections within the upper strata of the Philadelphia soccer community to make our voices heard. Email Ford, Narducci, and others. Call the Philadelphia Sports Congress. Do everything you can to get Lincoln Field included in the venues. We CAN make this happen.

    And a website:

    The Philadelphia Sports Congress

Let's do it! No defeatism allowed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Quite agree. Although I predict the final will be held out west (TV being what it is), we can at least get a semi-final here at the Linc.

Better yet...this should give WUSA a much-needed bump. I sure hope so.

ussoccer.com has a way to get early access to tickets...

the site must be getting bombarded, since I can't even get on...

I sent an e-mail to get my passwrod from them twice and I haven't received it yet...

    server overload ??

too many pth trying to get in I guess.

Bad for you, yes, but that's a great sign for the games as a whole.

    tickets are available yet...

the ussoccer website is a bit confusing because I try to login and nothing happens and when the screen for them to send me my password by using my e-mail address gets processed, my password never gets sent to me....

it appears to me Philadelphia hs about a 33% chance to get a venue..the Jensen story from the Inquirer..

    http://www.philly.com/mld/inquirer/sports/5949182.htm

    hints at the prospects..

Heinrichs was at the Charge match, and 5,500 for a rainy memorial day weekend was a nice crowd...

The key in this deal for me is MLS and how much they want MLS in Philadelphia and the potential deal between MLS and Lurie...

getting WWC matches and brokering it with an MLS franchise seems to be an edge in the deal

I got through. I used my password. And when you get there, it just tells you that those who have signed up will get first crack at tickets for whatever event and they will e-mail the details.

well, I'm having no luck whatsoever...

5 or 6 times I do the screen for them to e-mail me my password and I never receive it...

if matches are in Philadelphia I'd get a lot more tickets...

if I have to travel, then it's probably rfk or foxboro and I'd have to see how many want to travel...

if they're here, then I probably could get a dozen for any given match, who'd want to go
